Check out the Consumer Whores section, that's all about buying stuff. As it is, I'm an advocate of either Vibram Five-fingers, or whatever you're comfortable in. My normal sneakers are Sketcher Sports (not the shape-ups).
Age is just another obstacle. Get over it.

But also here are a couple of good videos I just checked out, and am going to apply this weekend.

Edit: Personally I use and advocate Feiyue's, or whatever works and is comfortable.

I Just go these as a present/bought and paid for.

Grip - 8/10 Maybe 9/10 I went behind the store and ran up the wall.  (Painted) They stuck and stuck and I was thrilled.
Comfort - 6/10 They are sleek, and my feet are wide so no bueno.
Cost - 60$ prolly cheaper, online or other places.

http://movetoinspire.com/category/lets-review/

I as well as a few other athletes have written some in depth reviews for some shoes on the Move to Inspire site.

I personally dig the Onitsuka Tiger, Ultimate 81s the most. I live by those shoes, and would recommend them highly to anyone who feels confident in their landings. Link to my review above.

I just bought a pair of KO Gen 2's.  Waiting for them to arrive in the mail.  Anyone else tried these out?

I know a bunch of people who tried them out. Josh Hill who works at Tempest was telling me that if you really like the KOs to give the Visions a try. They are the same build but with a stronger sole. I haven't personally looked into them yet, but I will.

The soles provide good traction and are flat enough that I can confidently practice foot movements without the distraction of a large, heavy sole. I wouldn't use these shoes for walking over rough terrain or jogging. There are many better shoes made for that. However, for the practicioner, give these a try. For the price, they can't beat, and they were delivered well before the promised date.
