Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Parkour Park Petition

idea: have a combo modern art PK-park (visually pleasing for those who do not trace and fun for those who do)

definatlly a good idea, it would be a place were local artist advertise there talent, therefore id could be an ongoing project!

OK, but is there a fast way to do it?

not really, just get people to help you and bust your ass to get it done, in ur presentation though, play up the wat i said above about the art, while not devalueing the parkour aspects.

also, see if you can get a 3D/Design students from a local collage to disign some interesting obsticles. This will make the park visually pleasing, gets more members of the community involved( you'll score points for both), as well as make things more interesting to us traceurs. Also, offer to teach classes and try to mind a local building companies to donate work.

Where a back pack and carry several quick changes. Like 3 shirts (that includes the one you wear), a hoodie, cowboy hat, and baseball cap, change whenever you are in a crowd, make sure the shirts are relatively large, but you can still roll in them (easier to put on/take off). you could even grow your hair out then cut it during the chase.

i think the cutting hair is a  bit much.......i think really all he has to do is friggin run lol

i agree, fresh cops arnt out of shape, but most have lil problem solving cause they are tryin to do things by the book. so u probably wont have time to change and al u need to do is force them into situation they weren't taught how to deal with

Is it just me, or are we starting to take the direction of skaters/Mirrors Edge runners?

Rebel? Only as a last resort. But let's try our hardest to be civil about this.

yes, exactly. skateing fell(in the eyes of the Gov't) through rebellion, Parkour shall rise through enlightenment. Thats y we must continue project such as Leave No Trace.
(sorry everyone didnt mean to start that)

How can no one see them making a show about parkour for goodness sake they have a show called I survied a japanese game show and yall think its not a far jump to parkour

tru, but ud have to get a serious practitioner to be able to make a show, and i dont think there r too many whod get involved in some thing that was detrimental to the  art/sport/culture/disipline

but i too have been worried about: ppl being dum→getting hurt→getting Parkour band. iv only seen 1 sign that said "No Parkour."  it was only a photo, but it was the scarist thing iv seen in my entire life

id say run toward them, but not right at them, when ur in a tight spot(in other words, try tic-tac or sumtin to get around them)

another good thing to show them is a study that was done a while back ago: they introced Parkour into inter-city P.E. programs and the juvinile crime went down smethin like 12% i think(not sure on the exact number). its some where on APK,ill trey and find it for u

PS  howd u convince the school?

 I feel that parkour
is really still so small, unheard of, underground, etc. that really no company, be it major or minor will want to help us out.
Unless someone has a family business  :P

well, fer 1, i was thinkin more along the lines of local government than a bussiness. 2. yes it is but thats y it would be such a great oppertunity not only for promoting the jam or INPK, but the intire disipline as a whole and there communities.

i think it be a good idea to organize something were we trade a community service for housing, advertising, promotion etc.
