Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Article: The Emergency Mindset
« on: February 13, 2010, 05:40:26 AM »
ALSO you wouldn't need to prepare, the adrenaline rush from being in the emergancy/fight or flight reflex being activated, is enough where you wouldn't need to prepare becuase your body will ignore feelings of discomfort from working your muscles too hard without stetching ect, also I saw this one show once, in health, where there was a guy who was trapped under a huge rock, while he was rock climbing right? The adrenaline allowe him to actually push the boulder to the side while he was able to get out alive, that sort of superhuman strength is part of the fight or flight reaction. * he did break two ribs and pulled a lot of his muscles in the process though. *

Yea with adrenaline many things can be done, i remember reading an article in where a mom lifted a small car up to save her child i believe. And after you get adrenaline most of the time your going to be sore or tired when it wears of. Atleast thats what happened to me when i got it and woke up the next day.

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Styles
« on: February 02, 2010, 06:32:49 PM »
I've definitely seen people with different styles,  everyone has their own methods of movement.  I don't just mean the techniques you use either, once the movements become natural reactions the individual style of movement becomes apparent.  Watch any experienced traceur move through his enviroment, he moves as uniquely as his own character.

this is what i think he means, and this is definitely true.

honestly that could very well be true, but you have to understand that parkour was around before david belle,  he was inspired by the guy who inspired his dad or something like that,

yep  ;D

the whole four years of parkour and still a novice thing, is exactly true,   in the whole scale everyone who trains on this website is a novice in comparison to when then can truely call themselves a master,    to become a "master" at anything,  for martial arts for example, it takes atleast 20 or 30 years, (on the low end) to become a master, so he's being very realistic and humble about that, and i personally think that shows a lot about his character,   sure we may think a "novice" is someone just starting out but it extends to so much further.

that would mean that there are 0 masters alive atm  :P

i don't think you meant it this way or at least i hope you didn't because god's 'left' hand   refers to satan and is a negative term,    in fact a lot of people for a retartedly long time were persecuted for being left handed,   my grandmother taught herself to be right handed so she wouldn't be injured or rejected.  but yeah   lol.

Yea im glad im a lefty in these days, but also guys you have to realize that they are from Europe and smoking isn't that big of a deal their as compared to here.
