It isn't about age, drops are just usually not parkour.

And they damage joints considerably.

Condition a LOT before taking drops.

Some people don't do drops even after years of conditioning.

Ok maybe this will clear a few things up
- It is official this will be starting though it is nothing like Apex, it's more like me and my friends went to this open gym a while ago, the coach knew what we were doing and wanted to help, we talked, went every Friday, and today we set up the price, days, and time of the class. When I said the things we will be focusing on I meant mainly focusing on. We may do conditioning, I don't know, but its in early stages now so I will talk to him about conditioning for stronger ankles, knees, etc.
Conditioning is VERY recommended.
If you don't do conditioning at the class, you should probably at least stress into them how important it is, but it sounds awesome anyways, I wish I could join up...

Hahah, this reminds me of an incident. I was training alone, something I rarely do, and I went to do a huuuge kong to cat. When I got to the cat, my fingers slipped, and I fell down about 3 feet or so to the ground, no big deal. Some guy walking with his girlfriend starts laughing when he saw me fall, and said, "What a retard." I kipped up and smiled at him, saying "At least I had the guts to do it. If you're going to laugh at me, at least make sure you're better than me." After I said this, I stepped to the side and gestured my arm in the direction of the wall. His face turned bright-red, and said that it was stupid and that he wouldn't do it. I then just chuckled to myself and continued training.
See, if I would have done that, I'd have been chased.
:P

I'm more timid when it comes to talking like that to people I don't know, I grew up as the only white kid in a ghetto, so I was pretty much ini9tmidated everyday 'cause of my color, so when random strangers say something I just kinda wave it off, smile, play it off like they don't mean it and it doesn't mean anything to me(Ticks 'em off nicely.), but my voice gives off that I'm nervous when I try to big talk.  :P

And that is an extremely good fortune cookie fortune.

Don't try to be smart, don't try to be sarcastic or witty... just don't respond. Keep training. When they see they can't get a rise out of you, they'll go away.

The moment you engage them, they've disrupted your training and then they've won.

So just train.
It's hard to ignore people punching you   ;)

One reason one of my friends doesn't do parkour is this:

Same thing as you, except when they couldn't do it they were scared of looking pathetic and pretty much jumped him.
(Which is ironic, they were trying to not look pathetic, and made themselves pathetic.)

But yeah, he's paranoid now.

What I would do is play it off.

Act like you would if it was friends kidding around with you, and wait for the "It's so easy part" and say something like "Yeah, show me how you do it, I would love to see your form and learn from it."

Don't sound like a smart ass though, cuz that's more of an insult.

This is what I would do, not what you should do, as really, most likely it wont get you any farther.

Snacking while running, while at work, and school.

There is no gyms anywhere enar me that has stuff I could use to train, and I don't have a whole lot of yard space, tiny town.

I'm thinking MAYBE a trampoline so I can get used to backflips and back rotation, probably as much energy bars as I can buy with whats left that I'm not saving, and some things like ankle and wrist weights and small sized barbells to work on wrist strength.

Anything else that people would recommend/dis-recommend?

On your laptop a suggestion would be from me something like APK/3run tutorials on simpler stuff, stuff that grabs interest but isn't gonna make the parents think it's to dangerous looking to display.

As for games, that's pretty tough, most kids like competition in "sports". (I used the word sports lightly, they would see it as a sport most likely.)

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Where you were...

I saw a youtube video in 06, and I thought "That looks cool, but all it looks liek is adrenaline junkies", read up some more on it, read what it was all about, but I skated so much I didn't have time for it.

I stopped skating like a month ago, and have nothing to do really, so I started PK/FR, and I say PK/FR because I like both, I like FR because it is more artistic and parkour because it is more structured and disciplined, I like both.

The first move that got me hooked was actually the palmspin, it just looked like fun, so I watched a tutorial, found out some stuff that he said should learn before it, learned that I LOVE the fundamentals of parkour, which is great because that's what you practice constantly, and I was set for addiction.

Strikeouts mean I achieved this goal

I'm nervous liek that to, constant comparison disorder si what I call it sicne I don't know the actual name.

But really, this how I would think of it.

Ask them for tips and help, ask them how they developed their own style and what they did to help overcome any fears they mgith have had.

Not only will that boost some confidence, but you'll also be connecting with other Teaceurs/Traceues's and learning tips from the best.

Win win win situation.

Plus see and visit some sweet hotspots.
So win win win win situation.

are they good :o

I really wasn't sure if they would be, since they are American Eagle, but it is insane how good they are compared to anything I've had before.

718
LOL good job!
Which side did you kong? I'm guessing the 3foot side?

And please tell me you didn't hit the wall every time? :P
I had a running go for it, but I kept freaking out because of the whole hitting my ankles on it, and the wall right after it.

I noly hit the wall after the like 15 kongs maybe 4 times out of the 15, but the free jump, no hands or anything, I had to much speed and just kinda slammed into it :P

719
Basically, at my school there's a large table/desk for the teachers, about 5 foot 6, and about 3 feet wide.
In the computer room.

I wanted to kong it soo bad  :D

I practiced konging it a bunch of times when I was the only when in there, and I kept messing up, IE, smashing my ankles on it, crackign my knees, stopping before jumping.

And Was talkign to  friend after school about it, and I decide to randomly run off and try it in the middle of the conversation.

I got it, but went BAM! into the wall about 2 feet after it.

I konged it like 15 times in 20 seconds I think o.O

I was happy, so I tried free jumping it, and hit the wall that time to :P

720
This whole story would be differen't for me.

Some punks tried to steal my moped and I blasted them with an Angel Paintball gun.

They now have painful reminders to not steal peoples stuff.
I showed them my APK sweatshirt.

:D

Sucks about the bike, you should have at least pressed charges enough for a new moped.
Plus the parents would ground 'em nicely I bet.
