When on your first date in the movies with your new girlfriend, you wallrun climb up, and pop over straight to the seat because you didn't wanna walk all the way around the wall and up the stairs coming back from the front desk.

She freaked.

Also, when you forget a wall run with sharp rocks tore your finger up the day before, and you out of pure instinct do a wall run climb up by accident and forget entirely that you have missing skin until you feel the wall on your fingers insides. =3

« on: March 07, 2012, 09:22:58 PM »
Been so many discussions on how kony 2012 is a scam, and it pretty much is.
Shady organization, basically splurging off of donations, and kony has already kinda been stopped, dude. He's on the run, and the LRA is inactive and already in peace negotiations...

America has been after him for yearsssssss.

"Military intervention may or may not be the right idea, but people supporting KONY 2012 probably don’t realize they’re supporting the Ugandan military who are themselves raping and looting away. If people know this and still support Invisible Children because they feel it’s the best solution based on their knowledge and research, I have no issue with that. But I don’t think most people are in that position, and that’s a problem."

Well heck yeah to the post about not needing them, they ARE fools usually.
Like, i like the girl I'm dating, she loves feeling my stomach and running her fingers along my V, but she couldn't give a shit less if I didn't have either, she loves my personality.

But she's a rare few around here...

Parkour And Freerunning / where will this life take you?
« on: March 07, 2012, 08:52:19 AM »
I'm a small town boy, living in a lonely world.
I'm taking a midnight train to Montreal, after a midnight plane to Venice.
Free Running is taking me from being the "kid that does martial arts and flips around" in a town of 1400 people with no gym access, to "That kid that is getting the f#ck out of this small dead end town by following his passion!"

I'm starting to get to travel around, meet new people and hopefully relocate to a place where I can join a community, instead of learning everything by myself on grass, lol.

BUT: I'm for sure going to Venice for free running, and Montreal after. (25 hour train ride, oh lawrd)
And I'm planning on Texas(Few towns, visit friends, etc), Tampa, Denver, and trumbull. (Shay!)
and i'm really hoping to travel as much as possible for this!

where will your passion take YOU guys?! where do you want to go, and do you think you'll make it your reality?

Socialize / Legit question: what makes a guy attractive?
« on: March 07, 2012, 08:47:34 AM »
Srsly.
Like, face wise specifically.
I am always at odds with girls on this, guys i think are ass ugly girls are like "oh he's soooo cute"
and I think i'm below average, but everyone always just tells me to shut up and accept the fact that I'm hawt, or super cute, or whatever. And I just flat out don't get it. All these dudes on facebook with gross non-abs,  a v made of flubber rather than muscle, and girls are like "Damn, that's hot", every f#cking time. Practically more than on a guy with decent abs and definition. And people like me with huge ears, weird noses, and squinty messed up eyes are apparently attractive all of a sudden?

Girls, when did this happen??

You looked like you were having fun, nice flips, lol bank flip though, I liked the tic-tac-to-cat-grab. The only thing I noticed was you rolling onto your ankle/shin/knee instead of your foot/toes, and your foot flopping like a dead fish, on the two rolls from 2:05-2:16, that could hurt on concrete.
I noticed that too, it actually scared me when I saw it.
I don't feel them on concrete, but I don't think I've always done that... I can't figure out why in the world I started doing that....

I've never had any parkour specific shoes or clothes, so I felt all decked out and cooler than i really am.
But really, I had an awesome fun day with my good friends.
I just want critique and comments on my form and how to improve it, honestly. I have no gym or training partners, so my form is off on almost everything, my only resource is the nets critique, please help if you can haha.:)

Florida / visiting Venice!
« on: February 24, 2012, 12:13:43 PM »
It's looking like I will be in venice, Florida for a little while to visit my dad!
Not only is that exciting because it's pretty much the second time I'll meet my dad and step mom, and first time meeting step brother/sisters, but also Venice has a few friends from free running, and a new place to train! I'd be so psyched if I could get in contact with more people from that area and jam it up if when I'm there and have any free time! anyone wanna suggest some traceurs?
^Copypasta of my fb status, but yeah.
I seriously would LOVE to be able to train with anyone in florida! I live in a small hickass town in Illinois, and I train with the St. louis group whenever possible.
About a year of serious training, interested in parkour, tricking, free running, and pretty much anything else.

hit me up on facebook!

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Barefoot training
« on: February 04, 2012, 06:27:44 PM »
I train barefoot almost exclusively. I love the feeling  of having the closest possible connection to the environment around me, aside from being completely naked that is. I'll probably get into that someday.
Ah.... the joys of training in the nude.

I'm planning on outside barefoot training in spring, and on the days it's warm and dry out here I'm doing some, but it's been soaking wet and decently cold lately, and my feet and hands lock up badly in cold/wet conditions.
Can't wait. <3

Pics & Vids / VERY fun warm winter day!

I loved these times... wanted to share. Training disappeared for a very long time, I just kinda screwed around, but ever since November I've been trying to truly progress, I hate how comfortable I was without progression for a long time haha... it's mostly because of laziness compounded by a controlling girlfriend, but that's all done with hopefully now. :D

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Adrenaline Related Experiences
« on: January 15, 2012, 08:31:10 AM »
I was riding my bike to school last year, was like four miles away on this barren ass country road in the middle of nowhere and my friend that was supposed to ride with me but didn't comes up behind me (he was late and caught up with me) and slaps me on my back, I turned around and accidentally turned the handlebars too, bike lurched, out of instinct I konged the handlebars haha.
Adrenaline was raging, I thought I was gonna freakin die haha.

Same for when I was holding onto the windows of a car while on my bike, driver (friends mom) said we're gonna slightly go to the left, so I lean left, and she freaking turned right, I kicked off of her car and rolled away instantly.

I love the reflexes parkour gave me...

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: First Parkour winter training help??

I wear a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt, and a pretty heavy hoodie, with a hat that covers my ears and my hood up.Sweatpants under jeans, or two pairs of sweatpants if I'm needing more flexibility.

But seriously, no using gloves can mess you up bad if you're in like 8 degree weather like I have been.
My fingers lock up easily, though. But even with gloves eventually my fingers get so numb I can't do anything with my hands, even if you can handle it without gloves try not to push it, because I always did and now my fingers can lock up in above freezing temps. Anatomy and physiology teacher said pushing it without gloves will create a lot of problems health wise if we're constantly touching metal objects or snow/ice.

Freerunning / Spotting a sideflip landing necessary?
« on: August 20, 2011, 08:11:40 AM »
I've been landing sideflips for a while now, but I have never once spotted my landing. I never do for much of anything.

I'm still landing right... not painful.

Some people have been telling me that it's wrongwrongwrong.
I was wondering does it really matter if I use aerial body awareness or spotting?

I have that kind of strength because the only way I used to be able to do pullups was on my door frame. You're pulling yourself up with your fingertips instead of your hand, essentially.
Try some of those.
