I know that some of us are planning on getting together and messing around Saturday night for Halloween, but does anyone want to actually train on Sunday? Just hit up some spots downtown, or maybe go to the wooden parks or OU?

Oklahoma / Say goodbye to mini-Cat Fountain
« on: July 31, 2010, 02:55:31 PM »
I know how much everyone likes the little fountain thats between the courthouse and old city hall in Tulsa, so that's why it hurts me to say that we might not be able to train there for much longer. The abandoned city hall has been bought and is going to be made into a hotel. The renovation plans also call for the extension of 5th street towards the fountain. It looks like the fountain will stay there, but now it will have a street on both sides of it and hotel security telling us to leave. http://www.moderntulsa.net/2010/07/08/mayo-hotel-owners-to-convert-old-city-hall-to-hotel/ http://www.kjrh.com/dpp/news/local_news/tulsa-development-authority-votes-to-sell-old-tulsa-city-hall-to-brickhugger-llchttp://

Oklahoma / OKC People Going to Tulsa Jam?
« on: April 19, 2010, 08:49:28 AM »
Hey, I was wondering if any OKC people are going to Tulsa this weekend. I think that I'm going to go, but right now I don't think anyone else is. Does anyone want to go? I can fit three or four other people in my car.

Oklahoma / Train-Hopping Hobos
« on: March 10, 2010, 08:15:40 AM »
So, some people have expressed interest in taking the Amtrak to Fort Worth. This sounds great to me, I think that a few days in downtown Dallas would be awesome, maybe with the Tapp Brothers as our tour guides? I don't know if we could get that set up, but we should try. I've been trying to find out about the prices of Amtrak, but can't find any. I've heard that the earlier you buy your tickets the cheaper they are. Some people said that we should just jump on the back of the train like hobos, but I kind of don't want to spend 2 hours clinging to a train going 85 miles per hour, but maybe that's just me. Does anyone know how much Amtrak costs? Does anyone want to go? Any ideas?
