Movement / Re: So frustrating (Handstand Help)
« on: November 03, 2008, 02:08:30 PM »
Alright thanks Chris. I do have decent form, but I am lacking in one aspect. I cant do a HSPU, let alone push up into a full handstand, do you have any advice??? I can hold it, when I start straight armed for about 30 seconds. But when I try and push up into it. It doesnt work...

Also, how are you so educated? Just obsessed with fitness and health(no offense at all)? Or are you going to school for it?

Alright I have a question. I was wondering if it was easier to do handstands on the ground or using a pair of paralettes. I am using the paralettes because I like to have something to hold onto, and I thought that once I could throw myself up on those, doing it on the ground would be easier.

Is this wrong?

Woah - I did not - certainly not- apologize to anyone from Team Kinesis. I apologized to the people of
APK for posting information which I had TRIED to confirm by validating two separate sources.

I think you should spare us your pity stories and how you "wanted to change things in Greece," because you went about doing that affecting more than just the people in Greece and you did it in a very morally f#cked and extremely unnecessary way. By doing which you have lost almost all respect from American traceurs. So how about you keep that mental attitude out of our discipline, stop trying to get your 5 minutes of fame and go back to being the nobody that you were.

You have tarnished your name and the name of your fellow traceurs. Anyone who went with this "plan" is just as morally f#cked as you are.

The only thing that I can really see that you "did for the lulz" was putting he was part of the prestigious Team Kinesis in your youtube description.

Prestigious?!?! lol

Now back to pretending you don't exist.
That's pretty gay

And faking your own death isn't...?

One more thing, why is it you keep telling us that "it will all be made clear" and "you will soon see my reasons," is it because you are just going to try and bullshit the community again with your false statements and accusations.

I don't think we should have to wait. Give us the answer now.

Ok, so the people that have viewed my previous threads have known that I was working on my kong, well today was a breakthrough day!

I was always scared of the picnic tables kong, but today I had gotten over that fear and konged my first picnic table. I know this might not sound like a big deal to a lot of people, but to me this is door-opening. I am very happy that i have this new technique in my arsenal.

I know I have a lot of kong progression to do, but now that the length fear is past me I think it will come naturally! As always, comments and criticism are graciously accepted! Thanks!

Sorry about it not being YouTube, it was cooperating.

EDIT! Youtube link!

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Point A to Point B???
« on: October 10, 2008, 08:42:27 AM »
I kind of have a problem with the defenition of parkour for being the art of getting from point A to point B. That's a bit decieving. Point A is at one side of the football field. Point B is on the other. There are really no vaults or anything involved, so is this defenition implying that no sort of obstacles are required to overcome there? I don't know i just don't like the defenition.

The football field example is one that I am having trouble with. Why would you randomly just need to go from one end of the football field to the other? I cannot even think of a scenario of where I would just have to run from one end zone to another for no reason. Unless you are playing a game of football, then the opposing team would be your obstacle. That is a case where you could use parkour.

But seriously, running from one side to the other and stopping? What else would be the point? Can't see one, because point A is the starting point and point B is the ending point.

I've always wanted a pair of 5.10's, so I think I will wait for the AG!

Man, I'm getting stoked just thinking about the grip, muwahaha. I run up a wall, but once i touch the wall I can just walk. If that makes sense to anyone besides myself ha.

Damn bro, sorry to hear about your misfortune. I sometimes wish I didn't have a job, but then the harsh reality and panic would set in. So I hope you keep looking up in these times! I know you are dedicated to all you do, so may the perfect opportunity find your way!

Side Note: Are you gonna make it to the jam on Sat?

Ok so here's the deal. After I put my first Kong video up, I badly sprained my toe and had to take a break from parkour which made me sad. But I am back and my kongs are better than ever, tell me what you think about my progression. Criticism is graciously accepted.

Anyone else just decide to make random Parkour T-shirts? I know I do, so I thought that I would make a little "haven" for these designs to be placed. Maybe it will be a spot that someones design can be turned into a reality. I don't know, but I just thought it would be fun to see the artistic side to the traceurs.

Well, go for it!

Here are some of mine:

"Follow The Flow"

"Run Your City"
