Hey guys. I've been fairly active on these boards for the past several months. I started parkour about 4-5 months ago, but not training correctly and regularly enough kept me from getting much better. Now, I have gotten better, but I moved away to start college about 2 months ago, and I also joined a fraternity which has taken a lot of time committment.
My problem is this: I have a severe lack of progression and motivation. Every time I look at my 4-5 months I've spent on parkour, i see that, even knowing that parkour is about gradual slow progression, I am behind what level I could be at if I had trained properly and regularly.
Every time I read an inspirational parkour article or see a cool video like Vugluskr's summer video (

But then I realize my rolls aren't that great, so I start practicing and can't seem to get better...I get discouraged and end up walking around until I'm discouraged enough to just go home without getting much real training done.
I recently read Blane's Dilution article. It seemed as though it was speaking at me, about people getting discouraged for not being as good as others. That was encouraging, but still....it seems my practice isn't getting me any better. Do you have any advice??
