The obstacle can be "fisical"

You mean physical right? Just pointing it out  :)

Whoo... it's been a long time since I've posted in this dusty thread.

Well anyways, alot has changed since Dec 2007.

Lately I've been eating less and less fatty foods (yay!  :))

I joined the track team a couple of weeks ago to build up running endurance and today was my first track meet.

Had 3:31 (Not really sure about this time. I couldnt hear what the guy said) as my 800m time.

At least I went 12 secs faster than when I first started.

 ;D ;D ;D

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Death Note fan?

Something with a lot of thinking and plot, with some death involved is really interesting.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I just had a dream about zombies. It was so cool!

In the dream, zombies suddenly started popping up around my school and I had to hide in small crevices.

When they found me, I ran outside and konged/gate vaulted the fences after crushing their heads with my foot to effectively rekill them.

I woke up after I reached the woods  :(.

This was an exciting first PK related dream. (*yay*)  ;D

A gate vault is rather flashy and not very efficient or useful, except for showing off, and an underbar on a waist high rail is not something you need to do.

Why is the gate vault inefficient? I can get over a tall fence I usually can't go over and gain momentum from going over the fence itself. I'm not necessarily disageeing or agreeing, I just want to know why.

Movement / Gate Vault angle

Is there an ideal angle to flip over when you are doing the gate vault?

Most of the tutorials I've seen advise a 45 degree angle, but I usually just go straight over, perpendicular to the fence.

Just wondering  :)

You know what...you've just given me an idea. Let's put spiderman suits on us when we train. (lol)  :P

Seriously though, wouldn't they have to fuse your DNA when you're still a single cell? If they mess up, they will REALLY have a huge problem. (I don't even want to think of a giant spider-human hybrid)

Diet / Green tea?
« on: January 22, 2008, 08:15:52 PM »
Would it be good for me to start drinking green tea again?

I have a ton of teabags left and can tolerate pure, unsweetened tea.

Would the negative effects of caffeine be bad for me, or are there more benefits than consequences?

Note: I want to drink pure green tea. Not the HFCS filled lipton bottles.

I don't think this hurts you at all. I've been doing it for years and it's useful when you are waiting in a line  :)

Exercise: (All worked on serratus anteriors, which I think are the shoulders)

15 lbs 20 times x 3
25 lbs 15 times x 2
35 lbs 10 times x 1
20 lbs 20 times x 1
10 lbs 20 times x 1

I don't know how to add up the pounds for bowflex, but the numbers I listed for pounds are the sum of the numbers of the bows on one side.

Training Journals / Henry Tran's Log
« on: December 29, 2007, 02:40:16 PM »
I am starting this log so that I can keep track of everything I'm doing because lately I've gotten lazy. I haven't done much since I started in June '07 so now it's time to kick it into gear.

Splittin' this up into 3 sections:
Diet
Exercise
Goals

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Diet:

2:00 PM Woke up and ate a baked potato with bacon bits, sour cream, and butter (I really need to eat healthier  :-\)

3:00 PM Drank the equivalent of a cup of apple juice straight from the bottle (It was almost empty anyways)

5:00 PM Ate Cookies and Cream ice cream and a caramel flan (I'm surprised I'm not fat after eating like this for so long)

Exercise:

Not much so far except for an hour of Wii tennis, but the day is still early! Hopefully I can get on the bowflex for a while.
(At my sister's house)

Goals by the end of the 8th grade:

1. At least 5 pull ups, both inverted and normal (Can do two right now)
2. 50 pushups without rest
3. Grasp the basic techniques and gain creativity
4. Run a mile at least once this year
5. Eat/drink less sugar and get more nutrients
6. Get a handstand for at least 30 secs

Wish me luck!  :)
