Women / Re: A Few Questions...

I should remind all of the males that mean posting in the women forum is not allowed unless the OP specifically asks... that's why it's the WOMEN's forum.

That said Good Luck Francesca!!  It's all about making your environment work for you.  You will do great I'm sure!!  :-)

Socialize / Re: Legit question: what makes a guy attractive?
« on: March 10, 2012, 06:27:10 PM »
I agree with you Alec... there is a certain serendipity expected... I will say that I went on a lot of first dates with guys that would be considered physically attractive & every time I would end the date by texting my friends "no spark"... never met a guy I wanted to go on a second date with... I can't point to one thing that made my  first date with Joe different... we ate sushi & talked then walked around Barnes & Noble getting to know each other.... at the end of the night I text'd my friends "FIREWORKS" 9 hours later we were on our second date & inseparable after that.  We just clicked... serendipity if you will... less than a year later we were married with 3 kids...  a year after that we had our 4th..... so I think you're exactly right... relational attraction is not about the physical.... it's that IT factor....

I feel like a girl should throw in an opinion here.... personality.  Period.  How you treat people, especially her.... how you carry yourself... confidence... humility... the ability to protect her whether she needs  it or not.  If you're interested in a girl who only sees what a guy looks like on the outside then she's not worth pursuing...  yet... not until she gets her head on straight.  The inside is what really matters to a girl worth getting.

Diet / Eat your heart out Paleos...
« on: February 25, 2012, 05:43:08 PM »
For everyone who says they can't be paleo b/c it's too expensive... you just have to know how to shop... here are the contents of my freezer for less than $100:

3 bags of catfish
5 bags of pork chops (2 per bag)
2 Whole Chickens
12 hamburger patties
1 bag of Swai fish
1 Ahi Tuna Steak
2 bags of Flank Steak (2 per bag)
1 pot roast
1 package ground beef
2 packages ground turkey
2 bags ground venison
1 package of ribs
3 bags of chicken breast
4 drumsticks
2 bags of chicken quarters
18 chicken wings
1 round steak
2 packages breakfast sausage
1 package all natural ground beef.

Yes GOMAD is still expensive, but there are good ways to shop for paleo diets...

Diet / Re: Vegan Diet
« on: February 21, 2012, 09:01:48 PM »
Simply my opinion... not meant to start an argument... as a meat hater (b/c of the intense hate of the texture and taste) I did consider both a vegetarian and vegan diet.... I hate to touch meat... eat meat... look at meat... it really bothers me... I even have this weird psychological thing that says that girls that eat meat can't possibly be attractive... I have some SERIOUS meat issues.... yet I force myself to eat it.... for multiple reasons, but mostly because of this example:

Pre-Vegan

Post-Vegan

and many others who have gone vegan and just look incredibly unhealthy and malnourished to me.... even her hair lost it's shine...

I'm all for people doing what they're going to do, but for me personally, despite my meat aversion, I just can't justify putting myself in a spot where I feel I will be unhealthy.

Am I the only person who understands bargain shopping? If I can feed a family of 5 on less than  $450 a month you can feed yourself healthy on a low income salary... make all your own foods & look for meats about to be pulled off the shelves... most actual grocery stores will knock a lot off of meats & veggie about to expire... freeze them until  you're ready to eat them... I've gotten  a 2for on t-bones  for $1.50... chicken breast in a bag is about $7 & can feed you for a full week... tuna cans are cheap & really good for you...  I could continue, but my point is people blame lack of $ because they don't know to look for deals... they're out there you just need to find them!
