Movement / Re: How to run?
« on: June 03, 2011, 01:07:12 PM »
ok i read your post but not the replys so idk if someone covered this yet but running on the balls of your feet makes your arch act as a spring and makes you go faster for a longer time your heel was made for walking and stabilizing not running but shoes cushion the heel so much people heel strike without thinking and it hurts your body more then you feel so you keep heel striking which makes your walking muscles go over time and your running muscles go overtime (Achilles tendon for example) so when you start running on toes again your muscles will hurt for awhile due to the fact that you havent used them in a while (maybe never depending on when ur parents put u in shoes)

like the matrix when he asks why his eyes are hurting and the guy says because you've never used them before

to me a monkey is for standing still/ going really slow you put hands on first then jump it's for getting over rails or on top of things kong is going faster you jump then put hands down and you go over the thing i guess u can use it to get on top of things to but you would need a short QM before standing up

when i wall run i can only get one foot on the wall if i hit the wall with my right foot my hands go a few inches above the wall before landing and if i hit with my left i hang in the air for a fraction of a second gaining a few inches but mostly just hovering long enough to grab the top im gonna move to a higher wall soon and want to know how to get the second foot on the wall for extra height? i cant get a second step into my tic-tac either

Parkour / Re: Lowering to a catpass to a drop help?
« on: April 21, 2011, 09:27:32 PM »
i just breezed through the replies so idk if someone said this already but that is a climb down... it's good for building up climb up strength and for a easier drop what i do is drop feet off edge with hands on wall then lower my chest onto the wall then put my elbow on the wall and lower myself into cat position
