Injuries - Discussion / Re: My knee(s)

I havent really been using my knees too much for over two months now. I dont think theyre inflamed anymore.. Isnt that the inital symptom? Because I pushed through that for over a month before I realized what it was. I did the ice thing for a week or two but didnt see a lot of results as far  as pain. I started trying to do some exercises I saw in a video for someone who had tendinitis but it involved squatting which made it hurt more. So, Im a mess..

I randomly ran into a PT at a cookout thing and had him look at my knees, he basically said to go see an ortho because he couldnt really tell anything.. He said I might have ruptured some..sac that lubricates the kneecap or something..   ???

Im just about 20 so I dont think it would be OS. As for the stretching I will definitely try it.. I never really stretched before doing anything parkour related. The thing that bothers me is that it flares up some times and Ive been avoiding jumps and drops for months. As for the muscle imbalance, I really think that has a lot to do with it. My thighs are extremely weak compared to my calves which have always been fairly strong. Im really hoping its just an imbalance and poor stretching.. But doing squats causes it to hurt and any other exercises that would strengthen my thighs so I dont know what to do.

Okay so Ive debated on asking about this on here for awhile, so here it goes. I started what I thought to be parkour about 4-5 months ago, and I say what I thought to be parkour because all I focused on was jumping off of stuff and rolling. Now with no prior sports or conditioning, this turned into a disaster. About a month after I was continually jumping off of around 5 to 6ft things whenever I could my knees would get what felt like sore. So I would wait a few days until it felt better and went back to jumping.. Only for it to return. I ignored it and pushed through for maybe another month until I realized it was my patellar tendon that was hurting, which isnt normal.

I read a lot of posts and sites about it and it sounded like I had patellar tendonitis. So I stopped my parkour and running for a week or two but kept jumping on my trampoline and swimming. It still hurt so I decided to completely stop everything involving jumping or that would put too much strain on my tendons. So far it has been over two months and the pain still comes back when Im squatting from everyday activity and push too hard to raise my self.

Im starting to get worried it may now be tendonosis which seems like a.. Sorry no cure kind of thing.

In the two months I have been resting the symptoms would gradually lessen in intensity but I can still feel something isnt quite right. It really only hurts when Im bending my knees and putting pressure on them like during a squat. I havent seen a doctor so Im wondering what I should do and If I have any hope of getting back into parkour..
