Beware: Spelling errors ahead. I normally have FF to help me, but i'm on IE at the moment. Dx

Anyways, look for exercizes that you can do specifically for your ankle/foot. Just rotating it in circles throughout the day can help a great deal over time.

Um..
Sadly, that's all I can think of because I don't know much about flips. >>;

Hey guys - Hope your training is going well!

I have been working on speed vaults, two handed vaults (Rail vaults too) and Wall runs. The vaults have been at about 3 foot, and the wall runs about 6. But now my problem is..I can't find walls that are slightly bigger to work my way up..
Another problem I have, is not knowing what to try next.

I was thinking Kong, but I can't seem to get it right..

Thoughts/Advice on what I should try next, and how to improve? :D

Like JD Davis said, make SURE you have your roll down. Practice it each and every time you go out to train to make sure you'll all good there.
As far as walls.. I can't think of anywhere specifically. Buildings are so different nowadays, and we most likely live in completely different areas.. xD

As for what to try next, I recommend the Lazy Vault, while your mind is set on vaults. It's pretty easy to do (in my opinion) and pretty fun to do a slap-landing out of it. :D

So, in shopping for some new clothes, I purchased a few shirts from TFA. They were reasonable prices to begin with, but the shipping was a bit.. eh.
Anyways, I probably should've asked about them before purchasing but here's my question:

Does anyone know how good their clothes are in terms of training? And casual wear, too.
I don't wanna' ruin them right from the beginning, you know?
I'd appreciate any opinions. :]

thats a kong, just saying...

idk what the slide or dive vault is either. i can picture what they might be, but idk if they're right

I'm pretty sure my description of a slide-vault is right..
But the dive-vault..
I don't know.. xD
I'm pretty sure it's similar to the Kong..
Eh, ah well.

Maybe the dive just has more jump?

That video has beaten the shows so far, IMO..
I hope they release little behind-the-scene stuff more often!

I should probably start learning more vaults...
I'm not really comfortable enough with being sideways to practice lazys or speed vaults with the one goodish rail i found. I can do a kong just fine. I don't even know what a slide vault or dive vault is...

A slide vault starts just like a speed vault, but as your body passes over the obstacle, you take your hand that you didn't use at the beginning, and push off the object you're going over.
So it looks like you're sliding over it.

The dive, or my understanding of it anyways, is running at the object, diving into it and planting your hands on it, passing your body through your arms, and land running.

Although, i'm probably incorrect on that one.. Maybe.

I'd advise learning as much as you can, but don't try and rush anything.
Bad things happen then.

But yeah.
Find a rail.
You can do virtually any vault on a rail.
Lazy vault: Rail works.
Kong Vault: Rail works.
Slide Vault: Rail works.
Speed Vault: Rail works.
Dive Vault: Rail works.

Aaaand that's all the vaults I can put together which their actual movements in my head at this moment. :P

You should invest in a video camera and tape their escapades, and then help them out!
It can become a sort of mini-series!
:D

Everyone progresses at their own pace. Don't let your friend accomplishing it before you influence your mood. :P It normally makes things worse.
But congratulations on getting it!

Good luck on your future training!

I normally say "I'm doing Parkour", which feels odd coming off the tongue..
But any other time I just say "I'm training".

Parkouring sounds ridiculous.. xD Just my opinion.

I only read the first page because i'm at school and only have access to the computer for a limit amount of time, but from what I did read...
Well, the guy who wrote it did need to do some more research. His explanations of vaults weren't the best and he skipped around a bit.

I also don't believe that.. Hold on. Let me check..
Yeah.

When doing my research project, I found that David Belle was born and raised in Fécamp, France.
This lead me to believe that this was also where Parkour was created..
Yet it says that he lived in "Lisses"..

Uh, anyone know what that's about?
Is he wrong or was my source mistaken?
Or am I just misinterpretting something?

It's good that you're getting back into it! :]
Hope it all went well (considering it's not the next day)!

I've never trained in the dark. Well, once, but it wasn't much training.

I think with people, i'd rather train in the light.
But by myself: The dark. Not sure why..
I just like the dark. :D

I'm not going anywhere, because school will still be going on for me.
But i'm getting some friends together to go have a mini-jam around in multiple places. :D

Normally my friends and I just get really anxious to train, and so before we train we'll be talking about all of the specific stuff we're going to work on!
Like today, for instance. My friend is wanting to start working on flips.
Will he actually? Maybe. xD

We don't always follow through with what we planned.

19
Don't take this the wrong way, Evan.. But that was funny. xD

Glad you're okay though!

I haven't seen this episode yet. It's recorded at home waiting for me when school ends. :P Depending on if I can actually go out and train or not right from the get-go.

I did see the first, I guess it was the pilot, episode? Where Danny won.
It was good. Whoever the fat white guy was that was wearing the black shirt.. Jeez.. He annoyed me so much. Eh. Just my opinion though.
The hosts then seemed okay..
The challenges weren't exactly amazing, but they were decent.

I AM glad that Danny won that one. If he didn't, i'd have been a little upset. His little cut-scenes just sort of focused more on the deeper meaning of Parkour than the others.
Once again, just in my opinion.
