I will be back in the city after May 8th, but I have a wedding to go to that day... so it will be like that evening... If someone is going to the Tulsa Jam this month, I can send money with them.

Really Great jams / Re: OKPK Monthly Meeting - 4/10/2010

Sorry I wasn't there guys - was working on an information system for a client, got carried away, and the next thing I knew, it was 5am... I did wake up on time to make it, except I felt terrible and knew that would be bad when needing to make a decision if the jump I'm taking is actually a good idea XD

Like a southwest jam? Doesn't Texas do something like this? I would be game, would have to do some careful planning though...

Its kinda sad though, for the years I have lived next to it, not once have I looked at it and thought "huh, wonder if I can do this on that?"

Lol, well, I think until then, definitely schedule a day with Chris and let him look you over and tell you where you should be going with your training, he is the OK God of PK. Me, I am recovering from a mild injury, so I have degraded a bit, not to mention I have been focusing on training my body and pushing its physical limits rather than doing sole PK.

None the less, we are going to have to meet up a weekend when I come down from Lawton - might be a couple weekends from now actually. I go to college down here, so thats why its hard for me sometimes to show up - not to mention money it uber tight lol

DUDE! Thats Stonegate! Also my old elementary school, I literally live right next to it, I overlook that training area from my bathroom window lol

What street do you live on? When I am home from Lawton, I am up on 114th Street.

The big play thing would be great for practicing flow of movement through, maybe some underbar practice. Do we still have those underbar looking things by the basketball court? Also, the one wall where you took the picture of the yellow bar is great for wall runs. The cafeteria entrance for employees that faces toward Greystone is also good for wall runs.

You should run up and down May Ave sometime, places like Quail Springs Mall, Northpark, and the little places in between are always fun to check out.

Training Journals / Re: Peter P. Training Log

----------

Today is a resting day, I ran over 2 miles yesterday, and a little late night bowling is also in the mix, so I woke up rather late today. After waking up, I had a sore right arm in general, mainly wrist and shoulder. My right hip is a bit sore from running yesterday, am now convinced that the track is killing me and am trying to switch to the outside mile run. Too bad my running class wont switch too...

Activities:
----------

-Bowling at 1am, bowled three games.
***Wrist did excellent, no irritation from lobbing a 16lb ball all night.***
-Ran a mile, mile was a little over 8 minutes.

Food:
------

BF: Nothing
LN: Again, nothing lol
DR: Lasagna, some fettuccine pasta, bread, and a piece of cranberry bread.
Possible Snack: The left-over subway sandwich in my fridge, provided I can keep my roomies away from it.

Training Journals / Peter P. Training Log
« on: February 27, 2010, 07:42:25 PM »
Well, I feel a training log is due since I am currently on a mission to improve my internal health and get discipline in place for me. I started finding out about PK back in October 2009, so I am still very new. Currently majoring in Computer Info Systems, so its gonna be quite fun to balance programming and general computer usage with training, but hey, why not. I had a small accident that involved hyper-extending my wrist and bruising the underlying bones quite badly, its been 3 months and its quite usable, and I have been working it back to health, its just that doing things like push-ups aggravate it a tad, and its strength has diminished due to wearing wrist support for 2 months and not using it at all... Either way, since I have been working out with it, it has gotten much better and allows me to do just about everything I want it to do.

Height: 6'0
Weight: 136lbs
Age (At time of writing): 19
Previous Activities: 4 years of Aikido, many years of mountain biking, 2 year hiatus, now PK with running.

Goals:
-Work my back out of its lower hump from bad posture
-Work my semi-bad wrist back to happiness
-Get my running mile under 7 minutes
-(In one set) - 100 sit-ups, 40 push-ups, 40 dips, then 1 mile (the mile under 7 minutes)
-Improve muscle strength in ankles and knees, to help promote longevity and prevention of damage
-Improve overall endurance and strength

Naw dude, its nice to have found something that gives me the same discipline and conditioning feel that martial arts did, just on my schedule now. I wouldn't bail out on something like that. I just dont have time and money at this moment to be driving all over OK. Expect lots of me during the summer when I go back to the city to work - you might see me up at Bricktown on off days lol

I have been trying to stay away from exercises that I wouldn't be able to do in my dorm room, like dealing with weights. I have been doing a whole set of upper body workouts that the trainer suggested. I also have been hitting up the wheelchair ramps around campus, using them for upper body workouts that were shown in a YouTube video that Chris posted some time back.

Well, college does funny things to you lol. I also have been trying to back off a bit on PK and moving onto more training. I enrolled in a running class to learn proper running, since I have endurance problems. I have been hitting up the gym to do upper body workouts, along with core exercises. Also, ever since that small accident where I jammed my hand, I have been nurturing it back to health so that I can use it properly again. Other than that, I have been everywhere around campus, practicing better movement than just jumping right in.
