I've been doing northern Shaolin kung fu for about 5 years, boxed for about 2 years before that, tied into the northern Shaolin I train mostly in San Shou boxing(see Cung Li) under Si Heng Algie Lynch. Parkour is an extension of my kung fu, the ability to do something well through practice and repitition. Nothing makes me feel more alive than San Shou or Parkour.

We're working on getting some people together in Towson, that's not too far from Perry Hall. We're on this thread http://www.americanparkour.com/smf/index.php/topic,26678.0.html

Mall works I guess, I figured we could meet at the campus so we can decide where we want to go from there if not just stay on campus and jam there, I've been through there a few times. There's some decent spots. Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?

We should try to organize a Saturday for us all to meet in Towson and go train at some of our various favorite spots.

Parkour And Freerunning / Re: The Roll Polls
« on: May 25, 2010, 07:50:00 PM »
i learned to roll from kung fu, and just adapted it to my pk needs. it took me about a month of training to get it comfortable on any surface. just do it often, if you're jogging or running just break into a roll and keep going. that'll get you used to it. just my opinion and the way i trained for rolling. i'm sure others have gone about it differently.

I usually only spin sticks, very seldom do I use fire...too dangerous. It's been along time since the last time I spun.

I'm with you man it's time to quit the non-sense, I've been smoking for about 7 years and I know quitting will improve my PK skills amongst all the other benefits. Good luck to everyone else out there who smokes and is tryin to quit!

Been a long time since I've made a post, but I just moved back to Rosedale which is kinda in the middle of towson and whitemarsh. I'm definatly looking for some people to train/jam with. I can get around to where ever, so if anyone is getting together on a regular schedule or if there's a jam coming up I don't know about definatly pm me or hit me up on aim. I'm tryin to go out and make use of the warm weather!

I'm right in the middle of towson, haven't been to any of the recent jams cuz my cars been in the shop. But I'd really like to get some training in before I start coming to jams regularly. I found a great spot out by oak grove elementary that's perfect for training, if anyone's down.
