Idaho / Re: looking for a group in mountain home or boise

Ya at the moment we are usually more off the cuff.  Most of us are college students who have jobs so we are just now getting into the routine of training for the summer.

But some of the usual places we would meet to train are Boise High School, the Grove (center of downtown, near US Bank Building), and Boise State's campus.  If you are looking to do some solo training, those areas are a good place to start :)

Hello John!  I don't know of any groups in Mountain Home, but we have plenty of groups in Boise :)

First, as an entire community we just created a group called Treasure Valley Traceurs, it's essentially  just a forum for the groups in the valley to post about jams and whatnot.  You can find that group here:  Be sure to request to be in that group so you know about all upcoming jams in Boise.

Next there is No Boundaries Parkour, which is one of the longest running groups in the valley.  We aren't a set team or anything, more like a large community of local traceurs who train together when we find time or have the urge. You can find that group here:

Team Myth is another group in the Boise area, they aren't as open to new people joining their lineup, but if you train with them there is always the chance :)

There are a few more groups, but they aren't as organized or don't have online links I can send you haha

Hope that helps!

Hello Idaho APK forums, you may not be very active, but that doesn't mean I forget you all :)

Just wanted to stop by and announce a Parkour Fundamentals Class that will be held THIS SATURDAY in Boise! The class will cover basic movement and conditioning techniques and will be $10 per student.

My friend has been training for many years now and comes to us from teaching at Parkour Horizons in Ohio!  He wants to gauge interest in an outdoor parkour class and see what people are most interested in learning.

The class will go from 11:00am-1:30pm this Saturday (3/17/12) meeting at the Anne Frank Memorial in Boise.  Again, cost is $10 per student.

If you have any questions reply to this post and I'll do my best to check back :)

Hmm hopefully they check that soon.  You should join our group for the Boise/Meridian area, just in case you make it this way and want to train :) We also tend to post cool videos and pictures from time to time.  Here are the two pages:

Welcome to the forums Cooper! As you can probably see, the forums are not too active.  Most of us traceurs in Idaho communicate via Facebook or other quicker methods.  My group and I are located in Boise, so sadly not sure of people in the Idaho Falls area :( If no one from your area contacts you on here, best way to get a group together is just start training around town and see if anyone joins you.  Good luck!

Idaho / Parkour gym opening in Boise?
« on: October 24, 2011, 09:23:19 AM »
Not yet, but some of us are trying to make it happen!

We are looking to get a number of people who would plan on attending this parkour gym if it were to open.  We are really looking to grow the parkour community in Idaho.  We want this gym to be open to current traceurs and people who are interested in the movement.

So my questions for you all, would you attend regularly if it was available?  Would you attend occasionally (some can't commit or are not always in the valley)?  Or are you not interested in a gym at all?

If you are on Facebook you can reply to the poll posted on NoBo's page here:

Ohh, U of I! Big difference in location between there and ISU.  But sorry I don't know anyone in that area that trains.

But good to get the correct location in case someone from the area does see this this post.  Best of luck!

Do you mean you will be staying at Idaho State University in Pocatello?  If so, sorry I'm based in Boise and don't really know anyone who trains near Pocatello.

But if anyone from that area is on here speak up!

I can completely relate.  When I started here in Boise it was only me and a couple friends, since then groups have been growing like crazy.  They will come, it just may take a little time.  If I hear of anyone looking to join up in your area I will send them your way.

Great! I wouldn't be able to make the lunch hour run, but I will most likely be free for the Tuesday or Thursday evening ones.  6pm works good for me (in fact I may show up a little early), just post on here or message me with the location and I'll do my best to be there!

I will also see if I can get a few of my No Boundaries runners to join.

This is great to hear, Aaron!  You have caught the bug that drives all of us traceurs :)  Keep us updated on your progress!

If you are in the Eagle area we definitely need to get connected.  I live in Meridian and try my best to constantly train here and in Boise.  Keep posting when you plan to train and I'm sure either myself or others will try to join you.  I'm interested in your weekly DT Boise run because I work downtown Monday-Friday till 5pm and could be up for some evening training.

Also since you are in Eagle you should check out Danik Gymnastics (Located near Eagle and State) Friday evenings @ 6pm.  It's $10 for a 2 hour open parkour gym and there is a decent group of people training parkour, freerunning, and tricking.

Hopefully we can keep the contact going.

Thanks for posting this! I will not be able to attend because I'm located in Boise with No Boundaries, but I'm glad you started this for your area!  We need more people in the other areas of Idaho to start getting organized.

Hope you will be able to find more people in your area!  If you guys ever come to the Boise/Meridian area hit me up on here and we will put together a jam or something.

Welcome to the forums Mark!

I know Ashley already introduced me but I thought I would let you know I'm active on here.  I am one of the founding members of No Boundaries here in Meridian/Boise.  We try to train in both areas so that we can get people from the West and East side of the valley.

Message me if you are interested in meeting up with us!  Summer is right around the corner and the group of us will be training a lot.

I am so excited for this!!! This is an opportunity I cannot miss.  For now you can count me in, the name's Chris, local Boise/Meridian traceur for a couple years now.  I think I have a pretty good understanding of all the good spots to train in the area.  Would you want me to get into email contact with you guys?

Also I'll do my best to get all my other traceur friends (who are too lazy to look on here) out to meet and train with you all.

By random chance, are any of you guys that are coming from Team Paradox back in the day? Last I heard was that they went to Colorado for school etc a few years back.

You mean we don't get them for free :( haha nah I know it will cost.  Post the prices you find and I would consider buying one or two.

Welcome to the forums Drake!  My name is Chris, or also known as Crisco.  Been doing Parkour on and off for a couple years, really committing this summer though. Sorry if I can't be much help for the Nampa/Caldwell area, I most train in Meridian and Boise.  I think there are a few traceurs in your area, hopefully they get on here and get in touch with you.

But if you are ever up for training closer towards Meridian/Boise you should really join our Facebook group Team No Boundaries -

We always post our jams and training sessions on there.  Plus we also post cool/interesting Parkour things people might like.  Trying our best to get everyone in the valley together to build the community, and the Facebook group is just a nice way to get fast contact/information from people.

Do you have any questions I might be able to answer?
