2 Years later.. Trying my hardest now to regain stability in my ankle. I know for sure I won't be out of Parkour forever, my ankle is flexible again and has been for a long time but it almost seems too flexible compared to the one I didn't break, and loose - For example if I was to land from a drop on the balls of my feet the broken ankle would just not work and my heel would probably slam down lol but it's a work in progress. Was just thinking the other day wtf I'm doing playing Runescape 24/7 and decided to watch some Parkour vids, I miss it. I'm sure a lot of people here who have had long breaks from training due to injury know how it feels :s

Hope to be back as fast as possible though! :D

Yo man what exactly are you struggling with on the Kong? Few tips make sure your hips are high enough and practice kong stalls, if you have some form of wall that maybe has grass on the same level at the other side that is helpful, you can first try to kong upwards and land on the wall, then do it with a bit of momentum and a run and try kong of the wall part onto the grass on the same level, I don't know why but this is how I learned it years ago, helped me get over the fear of clipping my knees and shins or falling forwards, when you're learning just to do a kong stall on the wall, just place both your hands a decent amount apart and jump up with only one leg so it is on the wall between your hands and pull the other leg up, then try it again but jump up with the opposite leg instead, you will feel that when you get a slight push off your hands you get a little bit of air when you throw one of your legs up, try it with both legs at the same time after this and make sure to push with your hands also, and you will land on the wall, its kind of hard to explain I hope it helped but I haven't trained in 2 years due to injury so I can't remember all that well, But I do remember that is how I learned to kong, good look man!  :)

At the moment im just focusing on getting my body into goodshape and working out, this should benefit me once im back into parkour which i predict will be another year or so, i am prepared to wait that long though

Well i dont know how long its been, broke my ankle 11th april from what i remember,
im still not back, i can do simple kongs without hurting my ankle, other than that i cant do anything,
my ankle is still weak i don't know how long it will take to heal, i honestly didnt think it would take over 5 months,
i have been inside most of that time. I just hope one day i will be back. :(

Finally getting somewhere, Im back doing precisiones on grass only, I cant do them like before as still my ankle isnt properly fixed yet. Iv also being adding little impact by jumping off one foot high obsticals as it has being proven small impacts strengthen the ankle. I aim to get back to vaulting by sometime next week, i dont want to push myself too much, but i dont want to just sit there. Hope its better soon :P

its been about 4 days since I last posted, still excercising my ankle and i hurt my foot by doing a headstand and landing on my foot when i came down, i wasnt supposed to land on that foot :/
just hope i can train soon

I just recently got my pot removed from my broken ankle, all I have being doing lately is exercise trying to regain my ankle movement,
It doesn't feel like it will ever have its full range of motion but I am not giving up on it. Hopefully I will be back training Parkour/Freerunning as soon as possible and I can't wait!

The reason I started the training journal is to keep track of my progress and it is something to look back on,
Unfortunately I don't have much to put at the moment due to not being able to train, it feels like so long since I have trained and it is so boring, you don't realize how fun it is until you can no longer do it. I can't wait to get back on the training :p

I will post on this topic almost whenever I can once I have started training again :)

That is so true about "parkour vision" panther, when I first started I saw my local area as rubbish, didn't have anything, had no imagination. I actually had loads around me, something as simple as a bench, if I saw it then I wouldn't have thought about it, I would maybe speed vault it or something but that's all I did, There is much more to a bench then you think (i am just using bench as an example)
It kind of depends if you are just training Parkour or Freerunning as well, If you was training Freerunning as well for an example you could dive roll the bench, macaco then swipe your leg over the bench, lock into place on the bench and do a pop top webster flip or something.
Obviously i am not saying do that as it takes practice but you get the point, the longer you train the easier things become, you see more and then comes more opportunities. Parkour is a lot of mental as well ass physical, you may think the whole parkour vision is rubbish, but it is totally not, it develops over time and soon you will see lots of opportunities :P
