Freerunning / Re: Fear of flips
« on: May 31, 2012, 05:08:37 PM »
90% of the effort that goes into freerunning / tricking has got to be getting over the mental blockade. Keep telling yourself that you can do the move and visualize it in your head from a first person view.
It helps to see what it will be like as the world rotates around you, even if you have to visualize it in your head. Other than that work your way from the ground up (literally) and you'll get there in no time.

Freerunning / Tucking Help
« on: May 27, 2012, 05:18:15 PM »
Hey everybody, I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I've been having. Apparently when I perform tricks such as backflips or sideflips, my natural instinct is to tuck with my hands behind my knees. I guess this makes me feel safer, as I can forcibly bring my legs closer to my body by pulling them in. However, I know that my legs fly around like crazy when I do this, which looks bad and results in a loose tuck. Also, when I see my friend do tricks, he tucks with his hands on the front of his legs, giving him what seems to me a tighter tuck and a more visually pleasing one as well.

Long story short: Is there any way for me to teach myself to tuck with my hands on the front of my legs, as opposed to behind them? I mean if I went through the process of learning the trick from the ground up, surely there must be some way to learn to tuck in the way I desire.

Hopefully someone out there will be able to shed some light on this little dilemma of mine. As always thanks in advance!

Freerunning / Need Tips to Improve Sideflip
« on: February 23, 2012, 06:36:44 PM »
Hey everyone! So today I decided to go outside and finally get my sideflip down. I think I have it pretty well and I'm able to do them now with no hesitation. My only problem is that I always know I can improve on whatever I do. I posted a video of my progress so far, and if you could give me any advice on how I can improve I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
