Parkour And Freerunning / Custom tailored parkour outfit design
« on: June 23, 2012, 11:59:33 AM »
i dont know about anyone else but ive been wanting to come up with a custom parkour outfit for a year now, not just for style, but also for function as well. I want something for all seasons, not just one. So i wanna run my design by and see if its a good idea or not.

My design starts with a tight fitting hoodie, i want the sleeves to be zip offs and on the sleeves a zip on place for gloves. The hood will be zip off as well, but it will also have something to cover your face that can be attached by some buttons or whatnot, so when winter comes by your face wont freeze. Thats all mostly the winter part of the design, so for the warmer seasons you can detach the sleeves, or leave them half on, what ever works. I personally like one earbud in while i run, so i want to integrate a wireless earbud into it and a spot to tightly hold my mp3 player, so i want to add something that keeps it attached to my upper or lower arm. For the pants I want padding to make shinguards, but that might get in the way. So what do you guys think? Is it a good idea? Or just a senseless waste of money?

Socialize / help stop kony

not really the activist type but something has to be done, to figure out what i mean look up kony 2012 on youtube and watch the first video that pops up. it may be long but trust me its bad. so do what you can to raise awareness to stop kony, its good for all the people hurt and the pk community

i have no idea how you guys all stay so determined, i mean i flourished in track on the 800m dash and i was 1 place off from going to state but practicing percisions gives me more of a workout than i got in my athletics class. basically what this is about is how do you guys stay so determined and confident? really i wanna know because it seems i may be missing something. sorry for being vague or idiotic for asking this.

Socialize / Something to take advantage of
« on: January 19, 2011, 04:09:40 PM »
A few days ago i was looking for scholarships with the school and i found a site you can win money and prizes off of by taking surveys, so if you have problems with money and stuff or you just want to win prizes and things then hit this site up, sign up and it will guide you through to another site thats branched by them, the other site is this one its connected to the last one, its really cool if you like helping corporations with their customer results and if you just want free stuff, the sign up process is long as ever but its worth it.
So if you want to get money and random free things like right now they have an Ipad up and a trip to paris, or even 5,000$ cash.
The point system is very simple too, imagine it like little pieces of paper in like bingo and stuff the more points you put into a prize the better chance you get to win, so its probability and luck. So hit it up xD  ;D

Parkour And Freerunning / Social Fear >.>
« on: January 17, 2011, 06:19:08 PM »
So today I put myself to the test at school, I started trying kongs and dash vaults over our tables and people start making fun of me, is this a normal reaction?
Also what should i do about it because im really confused, some people will cheer me on and other just stare like Im a 6 armed mutant with and extra eye, I have no idea what to do and im really afraid to train in public now.
Any help would be appreciated, Also this is kinda weird but im in track and when i run faster and harder people are still trying to make fun of me for the extra effort i put out, its really putting me down :(

Parkour And Freerunning / Weird training issue
« on: December 28, 2010, 03:10:58 PM »
ok so i've doing pk for about 2 yrs and just started Fr a couple months ago and im still a little off and on with it, and recently when i go off and on Free running i get better and better each time but im not really doing anything to train for it, the only basic flip i can't get right now is a backflip and im landing it on my knees, is this type of progression normal?

recently me and 3 other traceurs at my school got banned in using computers for the next semester but half of our classes involve computers, so now we get to run around town selling adds onto our school's website and newspaper and we get grades for it xD

Socialize / offensive parkour (opk)
« on: August 31, 2010, 02:04:23 PM »
this thread is about offensive parkour which is basically using parkour to fight like if your running and there's like a group trying to stop you and you dont really know how to fight (which might be weird if ur a traceur) you can possibly run and fight at the same time, kind of like district 13 where david belle just lays the smackdown on them while truckin it at like 15 mph, you gotta admit it might come in handy someday, post thoughts good or bad i don't care  ;D

i have trained without listening to music for about a month and i picked up a habit from my friend lately of listening to music while i do pk and my training results have improved greatly is this common or just me?

im a junior in highschool and have a small team of traceurs and we want to spread pk through our school can any one tell me how to go about doing this?
