Movement / Kongs : dive vs push off
« on: August 14, 2010, 12:59:33 PM »
Taking a closer look on the Kongs, beside the take-off, there is the dive and the push off.

When you try to dive farther, you can notice that you have less power to push off the obstacle with your hands.
And when you want to push off with more power you have to dive less.

I created this topic so that we can discuss which one will give us better results.

If we are trying to pass a medium length obstacle that when you dive farther you reach the end of it, the dive will be the better option.
If we are trying to make a Kong to precision over a shorter obstacle the push off will give better results.

But if we have a really long obstacle, what would be better? Dive farther putting you near the end of the obstacle & push off with less power OR dive less & push off with more power making that you go farther after the push off?

Feel free to leave your opinions. And don't forget to say why you chose either dive or push off.
