I have seen a video of people "blocking" i.e. placing their feet in front of their bodies after a small hop or jump to convert forward momentum into upwards momentum. It works on the videos, but those are of people on mats, not concrete, going almost straight up, not forward at all. I was wondering if this is at all practical to use in Parkour/Freerunning, and if so, under what curcumstances and how to do it.
