Okay, hopefully the title lured you here. I'm working on the blueprints for a public service project which will probably take a few years to finish, but hey, I get tax breaks for public services. Tax breaks saves money.
I heard about the idea of Parkour Park and that inspired me to do something even greater. Parkour Paradise- great for beginner traceurs to the most dare-devil free-runner. I'm splitting the areas into sections. So far I've got this:
Gym-primarily for workshops and training
Snack Bar-well... kinda obvious what this is for
Small Resturaunt-I gotta get some
cash outta this
Two or three areas like this http://static2.videogamer.com/videogamer/images/xbox360/mirrors_edge_pure_time_trial_map_pack/screens/mirrors_edge_pure_time_trial_map_pack_5.jpg
Now I know what you're probably thinking... it can't be done. You're right. Blocks don't float, but who said anything about floating? I'm only using the idea, not the design. Simplistic, but stylish. These would be the areas where traceurs and free-runners could really test their mettle. Talk about the best parkour course in the world!
That brings me to my favorite feature... the acsending tower. It's basically the same concept, but instead of the more course-oriented style it's all about making it to the top of the tower. Bragging rights and a crazy-awesome view. I wanted glass window at the top as a sort of reward for making it there.
As you can see, I've got the idea, but I'm no where near close to completion. So... I need your opinions. All of them. Give me anything and everything you guys think would be a good idea to throw in. Build on each other's ideas even. Just help me. It is
for all of us. It should be by all of us. That's not even to say this will come to frutition, but if I can't do it... maybe someone else'll find the blueprints and do it long after I'm dead and gone. Hopefuly, parkour will be big by then.
Let me clarify... I'm not saying I'm activly moving mountains to make this happen or even if it will happen. This is just something I work on on my free-time time and it would be good to have everyone's input if I ever do get to it.
