Parkour And Freerunning / Kong vaults
« on: May 25, 2009, 08:06:15 PM »
So I've been mainly practicing on my "Kong" vaults for the past two weeks. I can't seem to get enough height with my legs. Also, I don't really understand the concept. Is a Kong vault just basically jumping over something while crouching in mid jump. What are you technique for Kong's and any helpful tips for training up to them.

Pics & Vids / A Playground training spot.

Well, I recently got in to parkour and also moved. So I went out and tried to find some local places that I could train. Not sure if anyone lives near here or not but I live about half of a mile down the street. The places name is "Kneeland Park", this park has an old nostalgic appearance being of 3/4 wood. A great place to train it is, with many rails, towers, bars, and general parkour able spots.

Location: Shelton, WA.

« on: April 15, 2009, 07:42:06 PM »
Long:
Hello, I recently started parkour and have worked my way to the wall run, Once I run up the wall and put my hands over the rail/top It seems like I have no traction and therefor can not pull my self up to the level of the rail. Could someone post some tips for training Pull Ups? Also, I believe it is called "The Cat" in which I am trying to do.

Short:
In a short description, I do not have enough upper body strength to pull up from a wall run, What exercises can I do to improve upper strength drastically. Ex: Push up, Dip, ect.
