Movement / Is this possible?
« on: May 26, 2012, 12:43:39 PM »
Me and my friend have been trying to do this for a while but we can't seem to get it. We call it a wall cartwheel, you run up to the Wall and kick of like a trinity flip but you put your hands on the ground like a cartwheel. I've never seen it done before and it would help to see it, so if you have a vid of something like this that would be great. Also if it has a real name please tell me. Every time we try we get up to high in the wall and end up diving at the ground, it pretty funny.

General Fitness / warming up.
« on: May 16, 2012, 03:48:55 PM »
I'm not gonna lie, warming up is something that i have neglected in my training and I've been wanting to fix that. So i wanna know what is a good all around warm up and cool down plan for parkour and free running? Should i just do some stretching and jogging, or some intense workout before and after a training session? Any help will be appreciated.

Socialize / Parkour games
« on: May 09, 2012, 06:20:51 PM »
I love incorporating parkour in classic games like follow the leader and tag. I want some more ideas for PK games so please feel free to share your ideas.
PK games i already have:
ctf (capture the flag)
tag
follow the leader
castle ball. castle ball is played with two people at one of those castle shaped parks. One starts with the ball and they have to find the other person and hit them with the ball. once the ball is thrown anyone can pick it up and be the thrower. first one to get hit loses.
so post any game or fun training ideas id love to hear them.

I think this is where to post this. I have new balance minimus shoes and the sole on one of them is starting o peal off. I want to know how to fix them because they are the beast parkour shoes ever. Ive thought about using freesole shoe repair adhesive, has any one ever used it and how well did it work.

Injuries - Discussion / Could my shoes be the cause of my shin pains?
« on: March 17, 2012, 09:17:20 PM »
After doing some research I think I may have shin splints. I am going to try to schedule an appointment this week to find out for sure. I want to know if it's possible that my Nikes could be causing the pain. I used to train in new balance minimus I think it was the trail version. Tue pains didn't start till I switched because the minimuses started to fall apart. The Nikes have alot thicker of a sole where the minimuses had a nice thin sole (wich i prefer) so could the Nikes be causing my problems?

Parkour And Freerunning / Embarrassed
« on: February 27, 2012, 06:11:45 PM »
I want to know your most embarrassing fail in parkour/freerunning.

Mine was my second attempt at a three-step wallflip (i landed the first one but had to retry cause we were stupid and didn't film it :'( ). It was in my gym class at school and everyone had gathered around to see the greatness. I ran up the wall and made the first two steps, and then everything started to come tumbling down (literally). I started to lose momentum and fall before the last step. I dove down and well FACEPLANTED, luckily onto the mats, I was so embarrassed at the time :-[. now looking back it was hilarious ;D.
