Freerunning / Tucking Help

Hey everybody, I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I've been having. Apparently when I perform tricks such as backflips or sideflips, my natural instinct is to tuck with my hands behind my knees. I guess this makes me feel safer, as I can forcibly bring my legs closer to my body by pulling them in. However, I know that my legs fly around like crazy when I do this, which looks bad and results in a loose tuck. Also, when I see my friend do tricks, he tucks with his hands on the front of his legs, giving him what seems to me a tighter tuck and a more visually pleasing one as well.
Long story short: Is there any way for me to teach myself to tuck with my hands on the front of my legs, as opposed to behind them? I mean if I went through the process of learning the trick from the ground up, surely there must be some way to learn to tuck in the way I desire.
Hopefully someone out there will be able to shed some light on this little dilemma of mine. As always thanks in advance!
