Consumer Whores / FannyPack or Hydration Backpack??
« on: April 19, 2013, 01:57:54 PM »
Which one of these offer more space and comfort while training on the go without sitting down my big bulky backpack everytime I would want to train? I've done personal research, just need others feedback.

Parkour And Freerunning / Outlook on this subject?
« on: February 14, 2013, 09:40:21 AM »
I stumbled arcoss this little gem of a video, but while reading comments, I saw a hot topic emerging. Parkour Parks are great for the support of our sport, but at the same time, the space is limited and not free like the wild, ubran enviroment. Thoughts??

Plus, a lot of traceurs like to be on roofs apparently from the comments.

Parkour / crane jumps on rails posdible?
« on: January 22, 2013, 08:03:48 PM »
A team member and I were having a debate on whether I was ethier Crane jumping on to a rail or the generic jumping on something. I would jump on the rail with one foot like a crane without the foot support. He says if I don't do the foot support thing then it isn't a crane jump. ??? Help please?

Louisiana / Why wasnt the new orleans fam reminded in this section?
« on: December 10, 2012, 10:31:22 AM »
Hey traceurs in LA, I was wondering why there was not a  reminder about jam in NOLA (new Orleans) last weekend posted in the LA section? I randomly checked the national jams fourms and saw that, but I saw it Sunday night. I was kinda peeved because the last post about it was September. We need to be consistent Louisiana.

Socialize / Parkour Excuses....
« on: April 18, 2012, 10:27:39 AM »
Hey folks, here's a thread that goes like this:

We all had people ask us, what are you doing all this climbing on stuff for and similar questions, but when we offer to teach them or ask if they want to join the movement, they come up with any and everything (excuses and "logical" reasoning) why they can learn Parkour. Here's the most annoying one that I almost lost respect for this guy, whose a freshman at my college....

Guy: Hey you, aren't you doing that freerunning stuff?
Me:  Yea.
Guy: What is it?
Me: *Explains about parkour and the movement.
Guy: Gee, it sounds fun and all, but my bones are weak, my major is going to kill my spare time, and I have no health insurance.
Me: But we train Safety first all the time, plus I reccomend that you condition first. (Guy was about as skinny as a fashion model.)
Guy: Sorry man, I don't want to want to get hurt becasue I DON'T have health insurance. *walks off
Me: continues to train shaking my head at society.

Post your encounters with skeptics.
