Hey gals! I've been training for about 6 months, and I feel like I've made very little progress. I have a background in dance, but pretty much nothing else involving sports/physical activity. I train with primarily guys, and I often feel left behind because I have little upper body strength (I've been doing a bit more weightlifting) and thus have hit a plateau.You summed up what I've been feeling for the past few months.
Basically, I'm just asking for advice on whether I need to focus on modifying the technique, continue to strengthen my upper body and then focus on technique, or if I just need to change my mindset. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!

My grandfather is going to the hospital tomorrow morning for his second heart surgery :/ They're not certain if he'll make it... To those of you like him that are religious, play keep him in your prayers. And to those of you like me who aren't, keep him in your thoughts <3 It'd mean a lot :/Are we related? O_O
