when i lost them i will try to get into a big shop without being seen. my cellphone has a screen that can work as a mirror, so i can check my back also.
Don't go into buildings, if they do find you for any reason, you're trapped, stay where you have multiple escape routes. Alleyways too, alleys are only useful to you if there's a fire escape to wall run and/or tic tac to. Cornering yourself is the worst thing you can do. Even if you are hiding.

I have just one thing to say,

If Parkour turns mainstream I will be happy I was there before it was cool. =P

Oh, and have a LOT of stamina. Is it being timed? Or are you going until you get caught?

both, it has a time limit, but i dont know how long yet. but if i am caught the training is also over.
(i think that before they catch me it would be 3 days further then the time limit ;D ;D)
Stall for time when you're exhausted. In other words, know your area and find ways to stay a step ahead so you have room to catch your breath. Remember, you're outnumbered. Actually, find a good hiding spot. See if you can outrun their paremeter or at least lose them so you can sneak out and hide for awhile. Sit for awhile then get back on the move and find another spot. Keep moving.
what do u think the reprocushions r from parkouring(verb :)) away from the cops or on buildings. not for any particullar reason...just want to know....i should probly check the laws of my area as well.
I believe that'd fall under resisting arrest which is a federal offense. Don't play dat game.

i hated that part on hard. well when u come out of the drain and theres like 5 cops in armor and combat shotties. i beat the game with-out shooting any one, achievement Test of Faith.

-the physics are dumbed down a bit n the game though
+1 I got Test of Faith too. It was more fun that way, I think. I think we're getting a tad off-topic though.

Nothing that easily snags. It'd suck if you were jumping a seven foot fence (which is hard enough) and your clothing snags on the top as you go over. :-\

Hate to sound like a broken record, but change happens. We're not defined by how we try to stop it, we're defined on how we deal with it.

That's epic man. Sounds like loads of fun. Best part is, you don't go to slammer if you screw up.
My advice, what everybody else said.
When you're done: Give yourself a cookie.

Oh, and have a LOT of stamina. Is it being timed? Or are you going until you get caught?

I'm a major gamer, have been since I was about three. Even in the game you can't land that. That annoying fall sequence will kill you before you even get a chance to roll. So if it can't even be done in the game, why people think it's possible in real life is beyond me. Ten foot drops, even, if you correctly disperse your weight, you can keep going, but twenty feet? They're a buunch of tards. I suppose no one said anything about being able to move after you land it though....
Some people just don't know how to seperate fact from fiction. It's a terrific game, quite possibly possible even, but real-world physics still apply. It ain't real. Deal tards. (Dumb look emoticon)

I really find it hard to believe that people have been training in parkour/freerunning there entire lives. There is a big difference in doing a vault here and a wall climb there and serious training. To be honest it seems some of the people on here spend more time checking the forums then actual training. In my opinion it really dosen't matter how long you've been doing a sport, progression comes at different rates. I know for a fact that some people on here claim to have practiced this sport for 5 years and when you watch thier videos all you see is sloppy vaults from a kid dressed up like a character out of an anime with some heavy metal music in the background. All I'm saying is that it dosen't matter how long you say you've been practicing, your true skill level will show through in the end.

I'm sure explicit music doesn't have a positive impact on kids. But that's not the main problem.
The main problem is lack of guidence from parents, teachers, peers ect., and lack of a good role model.
"Rebelous" children respond well to persons intrested in them.
There is also a lack of disipline.

Children in Japan wouldn't really respond negitivly to hardcore music, but would lose good conduct if they weren't taught well.

Blame people like 50'Cent and Lil Wayne. Mainstream r.a.p. and hip-hop is just senseless gibberish about sex and violence, and it's ruining the population.
But do more than blame. Educate. Go out there and talk to these kids, impress them, and they'll listen. Mold them into something better.

If you are going to make statements like this you better back it up with evidence. Please provide a source to a credible study that confirms your assumption.
We've already established that. It's the lack of discipline. My parents raised me well. I act right. I watch other parents raising their kids, needless to say, I shake my head, and walk away.

-But think about it. when crap like that happens it's only because on a mass scale it's not approved of anyway. Thare's not that many good parkour places anyway. Sadly, the good ones are the places where signs like that would end up. I mentioned on another thread it feels like people view parkour in the same light as they do graffiti. Do you know anyone who wants you tagging in their neighborhood?

Question, I'm thinkin' of moving to Maui, but how parkour friendly is it? I'd live somewhere along the northern coast.
Also, if you guys take interest in this sorta thing, how big are the waves?

Soccer (2 years)
Tae Kwon Do & Hapkido (4 years)
Freerunning (Throughout childhood, even though I didn't know it was an actual art.)

Martial Arts helped me with most of the technique. Rolling especially. Shoot, the roll I learned is identical to the one taught in parkour. Soccer was extremely useful for bringing out my love in running. This helped me realize I love running in parkour as opposed to freerunning. Helped my endurance and speed leaps and bounds too. We got worked a good deal.

Gotta say, sometimes it's difficult to find good places to train, but when I do I do, when I don't I take a break for awhile. Parent's don't find it practical, but does it sound like I care? Does my name suggest it? DIDN'T THINK SO!
Freedom man. That's all it is.

Kids today are growing up in a non disciplined, lazy society.

Undisciplined to the maximum level.
