Ok so since my last post I have found my issues were thyroid related. I am on thyroid replacement now and have gone from 244lbs to 220lbs! I am currently working hard to get to my weight goal of 200lbs and begin training to join the ranks. thats my update. PEACE!

ok so ive been lax at keeping up in my journal but i have continued training as before, no change to the regiment. I did cut 35 min off my 6 mile jog...which is HUGE. so im gonna keep going the way im going and i should be able to start the real training soon...

ok, im revamping my diet and starting basic cardio and toning exercises. went full organic 4 days ago and i feel like a million bucks. im trying to get endurance backl using 6 x 10 min power sessions throughout the day. powersessions are just explosive training sessions there you do repetitive tasks as fast as possible for 10-15 min. like running or jumping in place or pushups...the like, the way its done is you choose the task you want to do and do it non stap and as fast as you can for 10-15 min. This style of endurance training was brought to my attention in the military and it works for me like a dream. Anyways seeing minor improvements, nothing breakthrough yet...however my energy level has doubled in the last week.

Well as i have seen in the first week of just running and basic heart rate and toning exercises I am very out of shape. see,com_smf/Itemid,159/topic,7.msg146629/#msg146629 . I am working on being able to get up a flight of stairs without getting winded lol. Just bad juju all together. Seems i have let myself go after my surgury alot more than i had thought. basically anything involving flips and arials i am no longer able to do at this point. im going to have to get back into a gym and retrain my body before attempting that. I do however have a 4 foot vertical jump wich is more than i was expecting. rail palmspins and vaults i can hit the basics with more effort than i like to admit. Also hit a successful back handspring but my ancles are much weaker than expected as well....caused a bit of pain on the landing. anyways I'll keep on truckin and keep on postin. any tips from vets to get back into shape (seeing i've never had to do this before) would be awesome.

Hey im Holytotemic,
I started freerunning/parkour when i was 15 and continued into the military...however i was unaware up until about 2 months ago it had a name, i just did it to do it. then i stumbled upon some youtube videos and started researching....come to my amazement what i have been doing for years has a following...AMEN!!!! anyways i have been inactive for 6 years due to a partial knee replacement in the military. I got excuses. Now im 27 and a noob again, with an extra 60 pounds on me. any tips on training from 0 endurance to get back to my former glory is definately welcome. I'm just overjoyed there is a community that follows this lifestyle out there. I have become very sedentary since my knee surgury and i am noticing it is taking a huge toll on my health and well being. PM me email me, shoot call me...any tips to get me back in the scene would be any freerunners in the buffalo,ny area holler i have met noone in this area that comes close to a traceur.
