Keeping something like this is good. You can come back to it and see how far you've come, or celebrate a little nostalgia.

It's been over a year and a half since the last time I posted, and MY how things have come along...

I am now employed full time by APEX movement in Denver.

Still a skinny f#ck though... Tis nice.

Been working the 30 MU challenge regularly, so far my PR is 4:20 (4:54 last night and 4:58 on monday, I blame dehydration though).

Training has taken a turn for the serious. I'm going big.

Start watching for a video sometime in the next few months :D.

30 muscle-ups in 5:33 on Monday, followed by getting running gainers off the 10ft box.

Last Friday Ken performed a "Rib Explosion" on me. Little sore for the weekend, as he told me I would be, but come monday, I felt phenomenal. Best I've felt in quite a while. Then on Tuesday, I tried an inward fly-away and overshot the red mat, landing partially on the back of the mat, partially on Erica, and partially on my head. No good. Wednesday I attempted a wall front and did basically the same thing, minus the Erica, plus my neck and shoulders. Now I feel back to where I was before. Dammit.

Been a rough couple of months. Pretty injured, haven't done a ton Parkour-wise.


Starting to see Dr. Ken twice a month, hopefully I can heal a little quicker and get back to getting big

Learned Palmflips yesterday. I challenged myself to do it without spotters, to conquer my fear. It took me about half an hour or so, but eventually I did it. Sweet.

Also learned wall circles on a flat wall (I'd had them for a while on a slant pad).

All in all, a great day yesterday

Worked back layouts... filmed a small progression video posted on my facebook.

Shadowed Will on the Level 1 class

Did about 7 muscle ups in a row while the level 1 class was doing pullups. Wasn't really going all out, seemed pretty easy, and i stopped way before i felt tired. I feel I probably had another 4-6 in me.

If it were me, I'd do 45 X 5, 135 X 5, 185 X 5, 205 X 2.  I think that's the bestest.

But I can't do the squats until my shoulder heals.  :'(

Not exactly sure what you're expecting from the calf raises, situps are also rather inefficient as well.


As far as pullups go, hook that iron gym up and every time you go under it, do about 75% of your max pullups. And every couple of days or so, add one more.


Also, a few pages you should read, it will give you a solid start on some foundational fitness knowledge.

Team training last night was pretty awesome. Worked some tumbling goodness (Which actually ended up giving me a half dozen minor sprains... damn round-offs). Almost landing cartwheel-full, that's good fun as well. Can't wait for my "Kenning", as we call Dr. Ken Kao, Magic fingers Ken the Chiro, hopefully he can help me out with some of my problems.


Also, Had lot of fun doing a duo mock performance with Geoff (We had three teams, Me and Geoff, Christian and Dudley, and Erica and Amos).

Practice handstands frequently. Throw in some pressing work as well (Start working on your HS press and Handstand Push Ups, against a wall and with a few books stacked up under your hands to increase range of motion).

For the Frontflip... Work it.
Fear wise... Can't help you with that.


Broad Jump. Here's the fun bit.
You'll see good improvement for a while just working on your broad jump consistently. After a while though, progress will stall and you'll need to turn to lifting to push further. Squats, Deadlifts, Powercleans will all help with this (which I can show you the basics of).

Wallspins you just gotta do.

Been on vacation since Sep 2nd in Europe. Yesterday I did my first frontflip onto concrete at Trafalgar Square off a rail about 3 and a half feet high. Webster.

Then I went to do it again, slipped on the rail, and nearly split myself. Rail hit my left shin and the inside of my right thigh. Trafalgar Square Lol'd at me...

Christian is pretty muscular right now, he put on about 20 pounds of muscle recently. His endurance isn't the best but his power is incredible, but what really defines "in shape"?

I've been stuffing myself for the past 2 weeks, and managed to put on 10 pounds. Woah. I'm guessing the majority of that is re-hydration from being... dehydrated, but either way, it puts me at the most i've ever weighed at 158# today, post using the pooper.
