Parkour And Freerunning / Re: Parkour playground
« on: May 01, 2014, 08:36:58 AM »
Didn't even think about the Ninja Warrior idea... thanks for that one! And I would love to make a lot of the stuff mobile, I have a couple friends who build freaking cranes for a living so making the stuff move shouldn't be that hard lol. Money is the biggest problem I think I will encounter, just have to find a way to make it work. Thanks for all the input thus far though guys, I'm copying it all down to use.
Keep em coming!

My boss at the gym said kind of the same thing lol. I think she has my back on it, so that'll be a massive help having a really good gymnastics gym owner behind me (I hope at least). I've some rough drafts of what I want it to look like, and I'm putting together a huge list of reasons as to why it will be a benefit to the community. I mean heck, it'll keep people occupied and it's free to come and train lol all the city loses is a little land. But I digress, I've got a long way to go before I can even approach the city about it. Hopefully by the start of next year things will be in motion

Parkour And Freerunning / Parkour playground
« on: April 29, 2014, 10:37:11 AM »
I figured I would post this here so lots of people would be able to see and give me some advice.
As you can probably figure from the title I am looking and building a parkour playground where I live (Hattiesburg, MS. If that helps) because there is absolutely nothing for young people to do around here. Once upon a time I wanted to start a gym but as time progressed I figured that a playground would be more effective.
Now I know that I have to go to city hall and speak with the city council and all that fun stuff, but would getting the media behind me help? Or would getting the gym I work at behind me help more? Heck or even both!
But any ideas on how to raise the money and get the city to see it as worth while would be great!
Thanks guys!

Yes, it's still every Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30. As for a schedule there really isn't one lol, it's pretty much come and work on stuff you want to get better. Sadly we do not have a sturdy enough wall to run up and cat grab on, but we do have lots of mats and a pit to try sketch stuff into.
Here is the number to the gym so you can call us and get more info if you'd like (601-579-4826)

Hey man, yea I still work at the gym and the parkour classes are on Thursdays now due to Wednesday nights being super slow. Umm off the top of my head I'm not sure of any gyms in the Gulfport area that offer classes, but a good way to start off is to check this page on Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/groups/teamlaw.parkour/
It's a group that my friend runs down in the G'port Biloxi area, it's a pretty nice chill group. Hit him up and he can help you out with several things.

And Wolf my PM has been messed up for a long while now lol. But I am currently with out a phone lol.

The gym I coach at ( Jump'In Gymnastics ) offers a parkour class on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:30 till 7:30. It's $10 per session and you have access to trampolines a foam pit spring floors and blocks and mats of all sizes.
As for places nearby Poplarville, if you're willing to drive to Hattiesburg there are several places at USM and a few in downtown Hattiesburg. There are also several playgrounds.
But if I recall correctly there is a play ground in Poplarville that is pretty good for starting off. I've been there a few times in the past.

Mississippi / Group training session at USM on Nov 25
« on: November 18, 2012, 05:26:52 PM »
On November 25th I'm working to have a group training session with my team at USM in Hattiesburg. I would really enjoy it though if several people could come out and train with us and hang out afterwards. All levels are welcome to come and train and have a good time. I beilieve most of us will be on the campus around 1:30 pm and we will be meeting up at the courtyard behind the library. Odds are we will stay until we get tired and then go get a bite to eat or catch a movie.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Hope to see you there!

If I still lived in Gulfport I would definatly help you out brother. Just keep at it and you'll find the right people, it's gonna be tough though cause not many train down there. Use everything you can to find people though and you will get some good ones.

Next time I come down to visit family I'll give you a shout and we can train if you like though.

It's your typical gymnastics facility. We have a foam pit, several mats of different sizes and shapes a tramp and a tumble track. We go over standard stretching and warm ups, and afterwards you are free to try any skill you wish just as long as one of the instructors is there to help if a spot is needed. Obviously the gym has several small kids in it almost all the time, so you have to watch your mouth and your feet lol (dont run anyone over). All in all it's a pretty much anything goes as long as it's safe.

Both myself and the other instructor are very capable, he is more of the freerunner and loves to pull flips off of and on to almost anything. Where as i am a parkour purist, i love to find new ways around.

Sorry for the long delay my friend

I've got two pair of em. A pair of the regulars and the new Terras, the regular ninjas tore up pretty quick as the entire shoe is pretty much cloth like. I mean they are made for playing on the beach lol.
The Terra ninjas are very durable, the sole is tough although a little heavy (compared to VFFs) and they grip like a dream when it's dry, while wet... just stay away from slick walls and rails or you will regret it.

I had this once on an older computer, but have since lost it  :'(
It would be awesome if someone that has this Torrent or even a working download of it to re link it.
I would love to have this back on my computer, and to even take it with me to my work to show some co-workers.

required.

-Must be mature and able to work under pressure

-Must be able to perform these skills: Roll (from any angle),
Quadrupedal Movement (for extended periods of time), Proper Landing

Without giving anything away, this haunted house is
