I thought you needed to use your arms for those, well I do have on free arm still... Good idea.

Do step ups and single legged squats while standing on something elevated so you don't have to move your arms to keep balanced.

Bike, don't run.  I tried running all the time when I broke mine, just couldn't do it.

Well bud, wrong forum, try here.

But I'll throw in a summary for 'ya.  Jumping is like any other movement.  It's part strength and part form.  The best training for increasing your broad jump is to jump a lot.  Eventually, your body will learn how to best itself and your form will improve naturally.  You also need to work on your strength levels.  Read a lot in the above forum.  There are tons of threads already that will help you increase your strength.

Have fun reading.  I'll probably be dropping by Memphis sometime this summer so I can help out in person.

Since PK has a greater emphasis on bodyweight movement, being lighter has a greater benefit. 

But being large doesn't greatly reduce your potential though.  There are lots of really good big guys out there.
