Parkour / Journey Of Parkour
« on: September 17, 2012, 11:07:34 AM »
What I started this thread about is where has parkour and free running taken you? I used to be a long haired skinny jean wearing punk of a kid. In such a short but long time for me I have changed into a better person that others as well as I respect. I will continue parkour for a very long time because of what it has given me. Where has it taken you?

I'm no pro or will I even say I compare to one, but so that I can get some feedback on things for making a youtube channel and filming could you guys just take a look at this? It would be great if you could. I'm not trying to advertise something. I'm just wanting a small recognition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptaC4U0aFMo Thank you for your time fellow traceurs.

Parkour / Re: Maximum vault height
« on: July 19, 2012, 07:22:39 PM »
Yeah, around that area. I'm no professional, but even with my speed vault I can go to height any higher I catch my feet on the obstacle. If it's higher that that you either need to kong it or you need to wall run it. :)

Movement / Dash Vault Purposes?

What I would like to understand is how is a dash vault "important" or "useful"?

Parkour / Re: roll critic

I'm no expert but he needs to swing his dominant arm towards his opposite leg, so that he doesn't roll on his collar-bone and hurt his shoulder. Safety rolls usually need a small amount of momentum. At least walking speed. He need's to keep his body in a tuck after the roll is initiated. Also practice on glass so that the roll feels smooth and effortless.

I hope it stays around a very long time. It's fun to push the body in ways most can't.

I absolutely love free-running. I would just love to be noticed by the sport, in the future, if I'm good enough. Thank you for the positive out-look. :)

Will it still be around going strong with the population in the future? As a traceur I always wonder this. I'm 15 and I live in a not so big town. When I graduate in 2015 would people still love it. Sorry for so many questions.. :-X
