Diet / Re: Cold Drinks, are bad for health.

Okay, I've been off forum for a while and this is kinda why.

1- Running water via streams and rivers (which man kind has always drank from) are colder then the "room temperature" 78 degrees so that's just a silly thought that we should drink room temp water. Unless you're saying we drank stagnit water. Derp??

2- The warming of water in the stomach is a chemical reaction and requires little if any caloric output.

OP, sorry I'm not trying to troll you but bits of randomness like this can go a long way. "Tonight on Dateline! Cold water is Killing your kids!!" Anyone who slings these little jewels should be flogged for insighting stupidity.

Have a nice day

sorry dude, but if you want to be a green beret you have to train like a green beret. There's no half way about it. Joining special operations (in your case army special forces) is a complete life change. You see movies like act of valor where these guys have families and they dedicate a lot to them, but you won't even have time to do that. Literally, your whole life will be dedicated to being a soldier.

If you were signing up to be a marine or just a grunt you could easily get away with a slow two mile run etc, but anything with high standards your just going to have to train for it.
Y
You can work strength maybe once a week, but that's it. You can practice handstands and balancing acts everyday. But say goodbye to heavy-lifting. Do full squats to help your knees and slowly build up your ruck sack march if your worried about it. The army's philosophy is take the pain.

^This is almost exactly what I was thinking.

Are you already inlisted? (have you been through basic) Because Another thing you need to remember is that no matter how much you train and how smart you train, spec ops will push you in the creative ways you haven't trained for. Surprise 3 am 30k March with no food and limited water is an easy day. Lifting and Handstand Push ups can't prep you for that, Hell week isn't just a catchy name to scare people.

Going to "Kinder Farm Park" today at 6P.M. if you want to come. Park in the Athletic side so you don't have to pay for parking and cut through the farm to the giant playground. Check google maps and you'll understand

Recklass indangerment of a minor. Discharging a weapon in an unsafe manor in public. Potentially attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon untill proven otherwise. Possesion permit of a hand gun, even in Virginia, would be suspended for shooting a minor.

How did he not get arrested? That's an odd looking peice of a .22, it shattered after hitting a log?

Post a picture. You shouldn't be doing anything that could rip the stitches which could lead to infection and slow healing. Are you pressing charges on your neighbor? Did he get arrested?

In style? That implies that it's a fad. The terms "Parkour or Freerunning" may fade but the underlining thirst for freedom, strength, expression and movement will always be in style amoungst those that crave it.

So. How long will Parkour be in style? Maybe 5 more years... unless it becomes twisted for financial gains... or an Olympic sport. But I'll be doing my version of Parkour the rest of my life and I can with very little doubt say that many on this site will be too.

Humid thick air= Heat
Thin air= Cold

Train in every condition to build versatile strength.

I drink a crap ton of H20, take plenty of micro breaks, I wear a hat cause I shave my head and head sunburn SUCKS and I reward myself with a cold shower and sometimes some Fro Yo (Frozen Yogurt)

The best season to improve your stamina is winter because the air is much colder than usual.

Not really quoting a science exactly but I think it's called Thermogenesis. The lungs open up more to receive more o2 and the body uses said o2 more efficiently. However it isn't just the "Coldness" of the air but the Thinness. Which is areason high altitude training is so beneficial. Again, it all comes down to training in as many environments as possible.

I absoluetly love this  ;D

I Climb, Run, swim and Lift and I feel have they've helped my progresion in Parkour; but, I have been thinking of adopting Martial Arts back into my life.

What other activities do you plan on adopting during your experiment?

Exactly! Always something you can do. The way I see it is as long as your doing something to benefit your movement then its training worth doing! Even if you spend a week working on plyos or strides and balance.

When I had a Hernia I worked out my Ankles, Wrists and Grip. When I sprained my Ankle I worked on Pull ups, Swinging and core. There is always something you can do.
