Tricking / New to tricking
« on: May 07, 2013, 06:36:20 PM »
Hey guys, so I've been into parkour for a little while and I'm decent, I've always wanted to trick but never knew where to start. Right now I have frontflips, axe websters, running websters, sideflips, back tucks, back layout, wallflip, pretty much the basics. So the other day I landed my first running webster and was like pumped out of my mind and threw a j step gainer in the grass for the first time ever and landed, never tried it in the gym or anything, please take a look at them and let me know how to improve, I know I need to kick higher but It's really hard (any tips?). I would like to maybe do a gainer flash or cheat gainer/moon kick eventually, is that realistic? sorry for the rant, just landed this trick and I'm pretty excited haha

Freerunning / Sideflip help
« on: April 29, 2013, 08:40:15 PM »
Need help with my sideflip. I have the trick but it just looks kind of awkward to me. It looks like I am flipping over my head, where most people rotate over their back, making the rotation much easier. Is something wrong with my setup? I can't seem to figure it out.

General Fitness / Re: abductors/adductors

I know to stretch them, and I know how to work them, but like what parkour "moves" would use these muscles, that was what I was wondering.

I know working all muscles in the legs is important, but is their any specific benefit to working the abductors and adductors? Like what movements or moves in parkour specificly use these muscles?

Welcome! / Re: Welcome Thread - New Members please announce here!
« on: October 24, 2011, 06:56:38 PM »
Hey guys, i'm Cole, i'm 13, my friend recently got into parkour, and he asked me to join him, I always thought it was cool so I figured why not. I can do some basic vaults, I'm alright at rolling, and I can get some decent height on a wall run. My Dad was a gymnast so he plans on teaching me flips and such. My Dad has also been lifting weights for over 30 years, so we have some nice equipment to work out on, I have been working out for quite some time so this will help, I am stronger than most kids my age.  I am starting to get serious now though, I have made a commitment to eating healthy, keeping a consistent work out schedule going, and training at the local gymnastics place every weekend. So that's just a little about me.
