A work in progress, but a firm goal in future, depending on the progress of the Michigan Parkour Association.

Yeah, and since Dylan is awesome, he would do the gym right. It would definitely be the place to be.

I would definitely say that you should be careful. It sounds as if your roll may not be as rounded as it should. I would practice on the ground, or at a lower height first.

To get a better idea though, how are you landing? Feet first than crouching down and absorbing the impact and rolling out of it?

There are alot of actually really good exercises that you can do, that alot of people dont really know about, or dont realize the actual muscle function in their arm. When you grip something you use the muscles in your forearms.

Check out Bodywieght Wrist Workout Youtube Video

His accent is kinda hard to understand, but his techniques work. Just do the first exercise where you roll your wrists up, hanging from the broom a couple times. Your forearms will be burning.

Wouldnt you want a 24/7 gym though? Imagine Mega just better, and a weight/cardio room, whenever you wanted to go. If I got a job working for Dylan, I swear I'd be there all the time.

Hey guys, if you really want a Rochester Jam, and got the guys, we can tear up the Oakland U and OCC-Auburn Hills campus. There are some really great and unique spots.

Welcome! / Re: Welcome Thread - New Members please announce here!
« on: August 22, 2011, 10:26:33 AM »
Hey guys and gals. The name is Mike Truitt, from Michigan. Ive actually been practicing parkour on and off since 2006. I'm an active brown belt in Judo, and did hurdles in high school. My friends and I were at the park on day and they started daring me to see what i could jump/vault over.

So here I am in the middle of the park jumping over fences, dive-rolling over benches and tables, and this older guy (probably 25ish at the time) comes over and says starts talking to me about parkour. He shows me cat-leaps, double-kongs, and tic-taks. Of course he throws in a few flips. It was awesome. Ever since Ive been practicing when I can.

Just recently I found out about the MPA (Michigan Parkour Association) that actually just started up this year, and met some guys from Urban Ninjas, the metro-Detroit parkour club. We're jamming pretty good.

Ive been hanging around hear for actually about a year now, for some reasons never able to log onto the forums, but I can now, thats all I care about.  :P
