AACC Jam - Sunday, June 1st
« on: May 05, 2008, 07:44:29 PM »
The people have spoken and we'll be jamming at AACC on June 1st.  If possible, I'd like to meet later in the morning so as to have time to pick up folks in DC and make the drive out - say at around 11 am???  I've never been there, so I'll rely on one of the local guys to pick a specific place to meet.  Nick, Zack, etc. any suggestions?
How can I be so skinny and live so phat???

I'll be there. I was always partial to starting on the smaller side of campus, so go in by the Big Vanilla, instead of College Parkway. From there, make your way into the middle where there is a kind of amphitheatre thing. I like to warm up there, and then move to the other side of campus. I feel like that side of the bridge doesn't get enough luvin'.

If anyone knows what some of those buildings are called, post up.

yea i think starting over there is better for a jam anyway. i know that one of them is the Center for Applied Learning and Technology (CALT) but i dont know the others offhand.

btw pretty much everything by the Careers building is under construction and we cant use anymore.   :'(

Yeah unfortunately like Mike said the the careers building is out :( Actually personally I would suggest starting at the courtyard next to the careers building. Its just a real grassy area with picnic tables and trees. Its a great place to warm up in my opinion. The other side indeed needs love but I have never seen it as a great place for warming up, I like to hit careers then move on and cross the bridge. At least thats usually what me and mike do.

Well yeah theres my vote. Its up to you raw since its your jam, let us know.

My vote is worth more. Let start on the needs-luvin' side! Plenty of space to warm up in the circle courtyard amphitheatre area.

I'm not the one who hates freedom.

(Do you see what I did there? I implied that nick hates freedom, and therefore I'm the better person, so you should all listen to me)

happydud, because you are such a freedom lover, we'll start on the side of campus that needs luvin' by the amphitheater.  i can probably make it up there with the DC contingent by around 11 a.m.

I sense some pent up aggression... warmup should begin with a happydud vs. nickm crab-walk fight to the death.

I would be game but something came up and I'll be at Myrtle Beach for the techno-security conference June 1st-4th. So unfortunately I can't attend the jam this time, but hey I couldn't deny free tickets and resume padding :)
