Guys, there is actually a pretty big PK/FR community in Pittsburgh. I'm in the one -- very aptly named, of course -- major group, PKFR. Even besides that, I have randomly seen people practicing at some of my favorite spots. We had a jam here recently that about 20 people came to. In addition, unless there is some other group that was in the city paper, we're the ones that were in it.

I'm personally headed for college come the 30th, but I can give you the number for the guy who organized our group. Usually there is a gym session (we have two gymnastics gyms that let us use their facilities) thursday or saturday every week, and some mini-jam happens about once every two weeks. Some of our members are pretty legit, and they can all teach with some degree of proficiency.

Try 412-651-0665. I'll let him know that some people might be calling within the week.

Also, hint for the wanderers: Try Children's Museum on the north side. Around the stadiums and there is some crazy stuff, but Children's Museum is one of the best spots in the city. It's worth the trip, trust me.

Didn't CMU have a parkour group? I'll look around and get back to you, I know I heard of it.

Would you prefer we contact you if we're interested in the Pitt City Jam or will you be putting the info up here for locals or on the PKFR site? Do you still do gym training weekly?

its the 13-14, at least that is what the message I got says
If I can't speed vault it I can monkey vault it.
If I can't monkey vault it I can kong it.
If I can't kong it I can kash it.
If I can't kash it I can climb it.
If I can't climb it there's another way around it.

Any other details you can share? I could've sworn I'd sent an email and never got anything back. It's drawing near and I'd just like to know what's up before this weekend.

Hey! Sorry guys if we never got a chance to respond back to your emails. My computer went down and had to re-setup our email accounts. Anyways, the jam will be this weekend, September 13-14. We will be holding the PITT City Jam in the Northside of Pittsburgh. The jam will start saturday at noon and will end sometime on sunday. Lodging will be available at the Undaground Lounge for those who need it. For more information, call me at 412-651-0665.

I was disappointed to miss the jam. I ended up sick and tired. How did it go? I'm planning on being up on the north side Thursday and Friday, probably later on in the day. Let me know if you're interested, I pop in here once a day usually, so I'll be sure to see a reply.

Where is that at in relation to the city? I don't have a car, but could come out if I can get there by bus easily enough. Kind of a busy day, but let me know.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get more involved with freerunning over the weekends. I've been out jamming most of this summer on Pitt campus, but I'm still kind of a beginner

Its getting colder, but if you guys are still jamming, hit me up on AIM: Meteorfrost

New to the area and was wondering where some good spots were?  Looking for a nice mix of stuff.  Be even better if there's a group that's actually still doing some jams.  Let me know.  I'm down for some late afternoon jam action on Sat or Sun.
