Guys...we've got to start getting the word out about this. As you have probably seen, Arkansas doesn't have a lot of experienced traceurs. I know there are lot of individuals haven't been doing PK for very long in Arkansas, but it makes it harder for those who want to greatly improve when they don't have anyone around giving them ideas, correcting, complimenting.
I started about a month ago and I was doing some practical things that I was benefiting from, but just a few days ago I met up with some guys who were a few years younger than me and I wasn't sure what to expect, but the help I got, new ideas, etc was incredibly valuable.
My suggestion would be to really talk PK up this summer to your friends, even if they don't go to the same school as you. Start asking people who aren't doing much this summer if learning PK would be something they were interested in. I'm seriously considering giving a strong attempt at starting a PK clan at my university in the Fall. It never hurts to ask but I know it will hurt not to ask because in my opinion, training alone is nowhere near as beneficial as training with a group.
I just wanted to throw that out there and I know this will take a long time to get it where it needs to be. I know I don't want to go to a national Jam somewhere and have people ask me "So where are you from?" and I be hesitant to reply with "Arkansas."
Even if one person reads this and gets their buddy into PK, I think my post is worth it. Take it for what it's worth.
