Recently i have been around a lot of people with weak ankles specificaly as Amir had mentioned at the Orlando jam. here are some great methods to conditioning not only the ankles but the calves and knees too:
- Try barefoot running in a nature enviornemnt first then build up to concrete bf running.
- Dont be afraid to pick up a skateboard once in a while i used to skate and trust me it gave me stronger legs to endure the trials of parkour training.
- Instead of walking on the street or sidewalk, walk along the grass especially thick grass it will build stronger calves for sure.
- Try training other diciplines like hurdeling, track laps, skateboarding etc good for balance and most importantly stronger legs all around including the quads!
- It also wont hurt to wear heavier shoes once in a great while. After you get used to the weight move back into the lighter shoes and there will be a difference in leg strength at least a small one but it counts.
Thanks for reading and be sure to apply at least a few of these methods if you want stronger legs guys!

Hey man I really think this is great getting some conversation going. But I must interject...
Barefoot running is great and I'm a huge advocate for it, but concrete is asking for trouble. All it takes is one tiny pebble that slips your attention and you're out. Stick to soft surfaces or tracks please.
Eh...skateboarding...I'll stay away from this. Everyone has their opinions
Walking on the grass is a good suggestion. Don't expect any crazy gains from this though, it's just a more natural type of "exercise" that has the ability to put uneven forces on all our ankle stabilizing muscles providing an environment for balanced muscle growth.
Quads are hardly our worry. A majority of people have great quad strength...what most lack is hamstring strength and develop knee problems and/or hip problems because of it.
If you want all around leg strength? Learn to squat properly. Ankle strength? Get a slack line....trust me.
