If you could meet one living person and spend a day or so with him/her, who would it be ?

For me, I have no words for how awesome it would be to meet Orson Scott Card.

Card is an amazing writer and I'm a huge fan, but he's also a really really weird guy. Like.. kinda crazy. And just... off.

As for me... I don't know. there're a number of people I'd want to meet, but it's difficult to put one above the other.

Dwight Eisenhower, Augustus Caesar, the bastard who killed MLK so I can cut his balls off and feed them to him. Note: these aren't personal heroes, just people I'd like to spend a day with. I don't have a lot of personal heroes, mostly cause I have arguments in my mind about what a hero really is.

Jeez, you guys need to stop thinking inside the pk box. You started doing something to get outside the box, but then got stuck in a box outside of the other box. Lol like all of you want to meet David Belle or some other pk guy.

Lol, I guess thats what happens when something is so amazing that you think about all the time.

Just remembered another hero: Tetsuya Nomura (KH, believe it or not, helped me form my ideas about life)

Interesting.. It was Xenogears for me, so I'd love to shake Tetsuya Takahashi's hand sometime. I found KH to be.. not quite as serious or intellectual, but I figure that wasn't the aim, anyhow.

Thoreau was a great great man, but... you mean great grandfather, right? Or even great-great grandfather? Cause like... assuming a generation procreates every 30 years or so, and let's just say you're 30 for kicks.. A great grandfather would had to have been born in the 1920s, and Thoreau died in the 1860s. I mean, even if you get more liberal than 30 years, that's still a stretch. Oldest man I've known was born in 1896, and.. well.. he was friggin old.

...Unless you meant to list two different people, but given that it was a sentence fragment separated by a comma and not a semicolon, i assume they're the same person (and "grandfather" is just an easier term to say than great great great grandfather or soemthing).

It wasn't the actual plotline itself that made me think (That part of it was really basic), but the light/dark thing sparked a ton of thought and research into other philosophies.

Yes, understood. Have you ever played Xenogears? It addresses a lot of interesting issues. What it means to be human, the nature of God, the relationship between people, the psychodynamics of family, theories of social and personal development.. Heavy influence from Lacanian psychoanalytic theory. I actually wrote my final thesis for my cultural analysis degree on Xenogears.

I meant to include Ralph Waldo Emerson in between those two but i deleted it and forgot to edit the punctuation, i apologize.
