GsomeJ's log
« on: March 21, 2008, 04:29:08 PM »
I am 14 at the moment and I would consider myself healthy, i usually drink lots of milk. Yesterday I drank half a gallon, but I rarely drink that amount, but i think i average about 2 glasses a day. This past week i have been having some problems with my head, back, and breathing but thats all back to normal now. This morning when I woke up I got a nose bleed, that's like my 3rd this month... i doubt it has anything to with weather.  I train sometimes during school, and sometimes over the weekend.

My current workout:
Schedule: T, W, F, S
I'm planning on throwing in a few metcons in here
3 sets of each:
21 pushups
56 squats
14 jackknives

1 set of each:
30 pushups
80 squats
20 jackknives

Goals:
Get a six pack
Do that jump over that area of my school (a gap about 7-9 feet wide)
Get my long dash vault perfected
Work on wallrun and tic tac
Learn backflip
Learn wallflip

Give advice, constructive criticism too

Uhm...that's debatable depending on who you talk to. It seems people are either pro-milk or really anti-milk. It's still kind of questionable to me. Regardless, milk solely doesn't classify you as a healthy individual. I thought the same thing up until this year when I really decided to do some research and totally revamped my diet into more whole food/natural choices.

Solely diet related. Although you can help yourself out by doing exercises in the 40-60% of maximal aerobic output range to encourage your body to use lipids as fuel.

I can now jump up high enough to where the bottom of my rib cage is now.

My long dashes are almost perfected now.

ranting"
(i can't try it during school hours because the evil school is too worried about injuries.  by the way just because of that I got lunch detention, and another day for bringing lunch. To think my friend jumped a 9 foot gap being a show-off AND he broke his arm AND 4 teachers were watching him. I barely scratched my butt...)

"end rant

i haven't focusing on working out lately and other stuff, I need to get back to working on that starting tomorrow... if i don't then i am just lazy and i really need to focus

I don't really have any confidence lately and I am really struggling in school right now, I need help.

You may not believe it, but from what I've seen in your workout, you have discipline. You are also very self-aware, and you know you need help, so that's a start.

I used to have trouble with school when I was your age too. I'm a very competitive person, but once I fall into a losing streak, I lose interest until I am in a position where I want to be better than everyone else again.

If you are like this somehow, I'd suggest findingi a tutor, or even a classmate to help get you up to date again. Focus on school like you focus on your PK training. Training isn't the fun part, its the accomplishments, yes? But you won't accomplish without training, so hit those books.

If you have to solve 10 math problems, do 15. Trying to be better than the rest will keep you motivated (that's what worked for me anyway)

ok thanks, i'm probably going to ask my friend for help whenever I get the chance, im on spring break right now and I need to get his phone number when I get back.  I will probably ask a few other kids if I get the chance.

that thing with the 10 pullups, that was kind of a freak thing and it's not happening anymore.

Yesterday I failed my workout because I did too much problems and some other stuff to describe, but I know what I did wrong.

I noticed a while ago I don't talk about my training...

Today I practiced handstands and a little bit of rolls.  I also learned how to do an elbow press today.

today it was very hot outside so i couldn't do much but i tried to practice my wallruns, I didn't get done for that I think.  I also tried to do a few calf exercising by walking uphill backwards on my toes.  Then I tried to practice my handstands but i don't really feel like i did much to improve it still.
