Fiveten shoes in or near Boulder or Denver?
« on: March 18, 2008, 03:47:10 PM »
Hey again, since nobody seemed to know where to get K-swiss shoes in Boulder, does anyone know where I can get Fivetens?  I an looking to get the Savant or the Freerunner.

Only place I know to get K-Swiss is Foot Locker...

As for 5-10s..try any of the climbing stores...Neptune's should be able to special order some for you if they don't have any in stock. They are a 5.10 dealer

Thanks, I'll check out foot locker if I decide to go with K-swiss, I've checked Neptunes and they don't carry the Fiveten Freerunners.  I am hoping to find a place in Boulder/Denver that has them so I can try them on before buying.

Really, Neptune's doesn't have em? Wow, well, try REI, they're less likely to have them then Neptune's but it's worth a shot.

If they don't have them in stock..you should be able to ask an employee to special order them...they should do it without obligating you to buy...worth asking

Until I get money, I'll have to stick to just normal running shoes.  One day though!  The more I progress, the more I hunger for better shoes.

FYI, i met a guy in Houston who got the 5.10 freerunners a few weeks ago and already the bottom front of the rubber soles are wearing through and ripping.

I'm going to have to agree with Demon's secondary source on the durability of the shoe. I own the Freerunner (dude, just buy off the internet if you want them), and while the grip is outstanding, it wears very easily. I believe it is merely a tradeoff for making the shoe as sensitive to its surroundings as it is, however.

I've only once seen them in action in action. But from what I've heard from a few difforent people, they're pretty good. I'm conserding getting a pair to test out and if I like them... well I'll just go from there lol.
