New Colorado Springs Schedule
« on: February 08, 2008, 12:38:12 PM »
Post what days are good for you here so we can come up with a new weekly training schedule.

I'm free:
Monday- before 6:00pm
Tuesday- before 6:30pm
Wednesday- before 6:30pm
Thursday- All Day!
Friday- All Day!
Saturday- All Day!

Not Free: Sunday's

So I thought it sounded good to do 2 times a week.  That way if someone can't make it to 1, they can make it to the other.  I would prefer day time on friday, and maybe monday or tuesday after people get out of school.

Wow, I have like . . . 30 or something.

So I just scouted out a couple areas that I was curious about.  One was the Pikes Peak Center, downtown  on cascade.  It was pretty sweet.  We should meet there sometime in the future.  Maybe since we can't meet at Tiffany anymore we could meet there.

The other was an area up near Frontier Elementry School.  Samil and I call it "Dream".  It has some nice stuff there.  That's also a possibility, though I think security might be a problem there as well.

Any thoughts?  Anyone been to either of these spots before?

I am free any time after 4:30 Mon-Fri.

Saturday I am going to make it a habit of going out to Boulder.  If anyone wants to take the ride with me they are more than welcome.  Splitting the gas money would be sweet too so I am not hit with a 20 dollar gas bill all by myself on saturdays ;)

Sundays I am usually free too.  Depending on how tired/busy I am, i would be up for small jams on sunday or whole day jams, depending.

Yeah, I'll do that.  Do you want to go tuesday at around 3:30 or 4?  I was planning on heading to both of those spots to take some pics so that I can perhaps get them added to the Hot Spots map.

PM me your phone number so I can give you a call.

for me it totally depends on where it will be.  if I get lucky enough for it to be scheduled on UCCS somewhere, then I can make pretty much anything.  if not, it'll take some convincing of someone with a car.

so, on UCCS: anytime
off: Thursdays after 1700, Friday after 1400, and most anytime on the weekends.

but don't make the schedule around me or anything, I'm not able to guarantee much attendance at all, so make sure it works for the others before trying to get me in.

That's still under debate I think.

I was thinking friday around 3:30 and then like tuesday at 5 for those people who can't meet at an earlier time.

I like the idea of a two a week training possibility.  That way if we can't make one we don't have to wait for next week.  And an earlier time for one would keep the sun shining on us to keep us warm.

Oh, and I'm willing to split some gas with you phreaknite when you go up to Denver or Boulder on the weekends.  So count me in!  I won't be going till after February though.

Thanks Demon!

well if the location is still up for grabs, I would like to cast my vote for UCCS.  I'm not sure what all we have, but I'm sure we could find things.  I wouldn't mind scouting the campus out, but I've never actually done anything in a truly urban environment...just got my basics down in my high school gym.

Are you busy tuesday or do you just need a ride?  I'm sure one of us could provide transportation if you live on the way and are willing to throw in a miniscule amount of gas money every once and a while.

Oh, and where exactly is UCCS?  I feel fairly dumb for asking, but still . . .

Ok folks listen up

Tuesdays are our providence, at the exact time you recomended Crosion, minus 30 minutes
(that's 4:30pm for those of us who favor english over math)
We'll need to find aphoticlight&Co a ride

The first one we're gonna do at fabulous UCCS since it's the only nomination I've heard, and frankly because I like it the best.

UCCS is easy to find, if you're east bound on Austin Bluffs go past the Nevada intersection uphill and look for the GIANT COLLEGE CAMPUS to your left.
Here's the catch...
UCCS is thrifty enough to not offer free visitor parking, yay them, so we will meet initiallialy in the parking lot of CSCS, the highschool just downhill from UCCS, (I know, it's alot of C's and S's) if your headed east toward UCCS by my directions you'll see it to your right.
It's a great warm up spot, and they courteously provide free parking.
How do I know this?  Because they haven't said that they don't  :)
as the old saying goes, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
Just be discreet as with all things pk related, as in don't park on the grass courtyard and blast notorious B.I.G. on your speakers

Disagree with me in the next 23hours and 11 minutes, or forever hold your peace

If not, slap it on the tukus, a new weekly session has just been born
