Chicago Colossal Jam - June 28th - UIC - 10 am
« on: January 28, 2008, 01:21:37 PM »
The Chicago Colossal Jam

Schedule:

Saturday June 28th

10:00 am - University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC)
Meet at the intersection of Halsted and Harrison, Chicago IL

~1pm brief lunch at some slawnty place

2 pm - Downtown River Jam
Meet at the intersection of State and Wacker

5 pm - End at Beach near Loyola

7 pm - Ando's and Cloud's Apartment/Dinner somewhere/Party

*Times and events are subject to change, please check back frequently

So our jam is one day only of mega kick ass parkour-freerunning.  We will be heading to UIC then downtown, pretty much last year due to high demand.

Housing:

Housing is somewhat limited! my apartment is small and only has floor space. Only people from out of state will be allowed to crash at my place most likely depending on who all is coming. I really need people to say whether they are coming 100 percent or not. i have a small backyard you can camp out at too if you like.

Freshface's family has been nice enough to let use once of their vacant apartments for extra space if needed, theres no furniture or anything. so we'll see how many can stay at my apartment, and put people there if its full here.

Transportation:

CTA train has stops at both locations. They are UIC(BLUE LINE) for UIC and Clark/Lake (BLUE LINE) for the Riverfront Jam. You can walk from UIC to the riverfront pretty easily too.

Metra. you can take this big train into chicago and walk to UIC from here, although i don't believe you can get near loyola on this train at all.

June hmm....end of june maybe? That way everyone will be back from school. Ill be there no matter what. Cept im not driving downtown this time haha, that was a nightmare finding a parking spot. Maybe this year i can finally get our whole crew there from fondy. Hope this develops as the last two summer jams (midwest jam 06 and 07) were some of my best memories of both those summers. Hopefully we can keep getting lucky with the amazing weather too.

I'm in! Philly is thinking of a jam around the 7th (date still tenative), and then Pittsburgh is the next weekend. As long as it doesn't conflict with those two.. I'm in.

Hey, if I'm not in England/France after PKFR USA and have money, I'll definitely come  ;D

As soon as you get a specific day for this, I'll make sure I'm not doing anything that weekend.

We'll see if I can bring anyone from Minnesota, and if I can come for that matter...  Sure would be fun! Always enjoy myself in Chi-town

At least 2 from tampa are in.

I will for sure be there; gonna cross-post this thread at Madpk and see who all is interested. I'm pretty sure Alex and Chad will be up for it.
