Woohoo... that was a blast. Thanks to everyone who showed up.

There wasn't much recorded, since the first day was rainy... but to me that doesn't matter much. The people who were there knew how it was and will remember the vibe and creativity.

There's going to be a writeup (a wiki, so anyone can edit) at overflux.com.

I hope everyone had fun and that we'll all see each other next time... until then, let's keep training!

oh yea, how was the second day? nick and i ended up spending time with an old friend rather than going to the jam.  saturday started off pretty lame due to the weather and issues with parkour individualism being conflicted, but once the afternoon came around i think everyone loosened up and started having a better time doing their own thing plus the weather cleared up a bit.  i'm definitely glad i went and i'm sure nick feels the same.

When faced with the stress of a life-threatening engagement, we don't rise to the occasion, we descend to our level of training.

Second day was great... beautiful weather and new locations. We practiced from 9:30 to around 1pm.
Glad that you're glad you came... that's what this community needs... next time we meet it will just get better.

With parkour individualism are you talking about the warmup?

Man, I wish I started parkour a few weeks ago!

Hi, I'm a noob when it comes to parkour and have recently just started the basic movements.  I also live in Gainesville, which has its ups and downs.  Anyone know of a good place to train (an open gym preferably) There are no places in gainesville that accommodates a foam pit :( I've called up several places but none lets me do the moves I want to do. I have to sign up for a tumbling class and do whatever the instructor tells me for an hour. Even after, I can't practice anything because of their insurance reasons.

Now back to my term paper...
