Sweet, theres not too many Traceurs I know of up here, but a few new ones have been popping up latley.  How is Iowa City as far as Parkour goes?  We should plan a midwest jam come spring or something. heh.

Iowa City is alright, I would imagine Des Moines being the best in Iowa, but yeah, Iowa City is good for now

Haha, yeah. There aren't many traceurs from Iowa, that's for sure, but I'm on of them. I just recently started, so I'm not advanced or skilled in any way, but I am trying to push myself everyday. The only problem is that there isn't much to train on unless I go into Des Moines. This suburb I live in is all flat.

Hey I am new in Le Parkour, but live around Iowa City, so can anyone tell me a good spot for some practice? I am only in 9th grade, so I am not good yet :(

Hey, i'm in Iowa city as a college student, i'm pretty new to Parkour, but i'm interested in meeting others interested in it around here, theres some nice pk to be done at the university, but elsewhere is pretty flat.  I'm just recovering from a broken collar bone, but am training again slowly, hope to meet some traceurs around iowa city soon!

hey hawkeyebme, whats going on? Yeah I just sprained my ankle attempting to run on a while. Luckily it is not a big sprain, and I will be out parkouring in two weeks! Would the Old Capital mall be a good place?

Hey, i'm just getting back into the groove of things, and i'm extremely sore from just a few quick runs, but all around the university are good spots, especially on the riverfront buildings, lots of concrete and rails, good training grounds.  I'm still getting my strength back before i try anything new or risky, but i'll be out and about most days. Sorry about the ankle, dont push yourself, or it'll just get worse.  By the way, theres some construction or repairs going on around the Old capital mall, so there might be some interesting new things to do there

Yo, Iowans
I'm just getting into parkour myself, and I'll be coming back to school at cornell college at the start of september.  I'm set on practicing my ass off this year, and I'd love to get out and jam.

I'm just about to get started, and live in Des Moines. I was wondering if anyone has found a good place for beginners to start.

I run in Ames, IA, on ISU campus.

Does anybody practice in or around Ames?  I would like to find other people to practice with but so far I have not seen anyone else.

I'm at ISU and I'm interested learning more about it, but I don't know how much time I'll have for it.  Drop me an email at lobodelmoco@gmail.com if you're interested.
