Did you do 10, then drop onto your knees and start again? If so I can't say that counts. The Army had specified "rest" positions, however a "set" was considered over once your knees dropped to the ground.

I can do around 70 without stopping. I've been able to do up to 115 after that before finally dropping.

I did 98 in a row before wrestling. Now I doubt I could do over 50.
All without any knees of course :) What's the point of doing them with rest?

I can do about 50 or so in a row. No clue about a day. I don't put much stock in regular pushups if you can do more than 15-20 anyway.

I've done 85 on a row, no breaks. That was during wrestling season though. It still is season, but I'm out for a stupid knee-injury. I'm finally back doing light stuff, but It's gonna suck for Parkour too, haha.

Taking breaks I can get a good 200 though, back on topic.

when i first started Parkour, my max was 5.  now it's 23 without pause.  my long term goal is 50 and i'm so excited to be almost halfway there!  for a while (especially at the beginning) i questioned if i had set an unreasonable goal for myself.

all i have to say is that if you're looking for strength or endurance gains, LISTEN TO STEVE.  worked for me.  :)

You missed the thread where it happened... It sort of went like this:

2. lulz ensues
3. ????
4. PROFIT

Pretty much.

Don't worry about it, since I sure don't.

I maxxed out at 47 today without taking any kind of rest at all -- that includes sitting stationary at the top and bottom of my form.  That was with someone there telling me if I missed full ROM, lost form in rigid back, "snaked" up, etc...all of which I consider cheating and not a true, honest pushup.

As for rest, I try to keep it rhythmic...same time to go up and down on #1 as the last one.  When I deviate from that, I know my max is very close.

If I let my form suffer I could probably do much more...

Form is crucial in the pushup because any deviation from good form usually makes the moment much easier....

I'm still stuck at 15 pushups in a row. but hey only 2 weeks ago i could only do 10 pushups in a row, although I want to gain strength faster, thats pretty good.

Well, in 2 minutes my max was somewhere between 60 and 65. I don't remember. I'd say, from that, I could prolly do about 10 gajillion if did them nonstop.

I can do about 25-30 good standard push-ups in one set.  I know it's kind of weak but it was 20-25 when I started doing them this again this week.  Not bad progression I guess.  Anyway, in my personal experience going till your arms die isn't as helpful as going until you have a hard time keeping good form and then resting so you'll be able to do more later.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong and happy training to all!
