Proper Parkour Conditioning
« on: December 08, 2007, 03:34:54 PM »
I thought it might be wise for us all to compile our knowledge of what we view as proper parkour conditioning.  I'm sure there are many traceur's, new and experienced, that would like to find new and improved ways to condition themselves.  So what are the best ways to improve our Endurance training, our Flexibility, or anything else that can keep our bodies keen?

I thought of this today as I have been working for a while trying to think up good stretches so that I can become more flexible and increase my overall dexterity.  I thought, if Parkour is the art of Movement, as a traceur, I should be able to move my body in whatever way I need.

There is an awesome article by Muse Of Fire on Stretching for Parkour in the General Fitness section of the forums:

There is also a ton of info on the general fitness forums on designing workouts, getting a plan, and many other things.

Yeah, I also find that Demon's monthly training is also very good.  I have taken some of those and gotten a lot better at things I have been challenged with.
