Mindf**k
« on: February 01, 2006, 04:28:52 PM »
Some movement that is especially hard to overcome due to mental barriers. Often refers to very difficult, extremely precise, or just plain crazy movements.

Amen, most mindf**ks are not even physically difficult maneuvers.

All it takes is an awkward angle, or an unusual landing area, and what would normally be a routine jump now makes you falter, and hesitate; A mindf**k.

Don't get frustrated, keep your head clear, and commit.

Edit: And since you can't do it youself, I applaud you for a job well done.

A good example would be: ... the general sport of parkour in it's entirety ;)

synonyms are: mindjob mindtrip mindblock

"In heaven, we'll all freerun with Jesus"
..."His Kongs are off the hook!"

Go check there's another post in the Colorado section where I accidentaly used it too,     I'M OUTTA CONTROL!!!

I almost used it with the reporter from the gazzette today, but I caught myself... that could have been disastrous.

You know the "s" word.  I'll give you a clue it starts with an s and ends with a port. ;)

I use the word mindf*ck more then is socialy acceptible...wether in parkour...or when i am really giving somone the mindf*ck.

Personaly i think the biggest mindf*cks are the precisions...flipping creepy man.

This happened to me a lot at BeastCoast.

I would go to do a precision, swing the arms back, then my brain just goes "WTF!" and I kinda just take a step down from the ledge without thinking. It was frustrating as hell. Got over it most of the times though, eventually your mind gives up on the "preventing injury" business :P

I had one today actually...a mindf*ck.  I was gonna get on top of my neighbors swingset and jump off and practice landing, but I had a mindf**k, and culdnt do it.  Poor me.  Lol.  It was disappointing.  I'll get over it.
